Bangin Devilled Sausages

No need to buy recipe flavour based with this simple, delicious recipe. Full of flavour and super easy and cheap to make. It’s a family favourite in our house served on mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
 

  • 8-12 sausages chopped
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 apples finely diced, skin on, core removed
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 beef stock cube
  • 50gm tomato paste
  • 2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1 Tbs Dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 3/4 cup of peas
  • Cornflour to thicken at the end

Instructions
 

  • Fry onions, apple and sausages together until sausages browned and apple and onion has softened.
  • Add to Slow cooker
  • Add remaining ingredients except for peas and cornflour to slow cooker
  • Cook 4 hours on low.
  • Add peas in last half hour of cooking.
  • Thicken with cornflour if you wish.
  • Serve on mashed potato or couscous.
