This is gold silverside

Lovely served with mash and veggies and cheese sauce

  • Cook: 7 hrs
  • Yields: 4


Silverside (any size )

I can of xxxx gold beer (any beer is fine )

500g jar of Fehlbergs pickled onions and it's juice (could use another brand but I love this one )

2-3 cups of water

1/4 cup brown sugar (less if you like )


1Place silverside in slow cooker

2Pour everything else in cover and cover on high for 4 hours then low for 2-3 hours

3Pull it out and leave to rest for 10 minutes before slicing


1Cooking time may vary depending on how big your silverside is

2Liquid doesn't have to be over the meat can either turn it half way through or ladle liquid over
