Simple n’ Saucy Pork Chops

Simple n’ Saucy Pork Chops

September 15, 2015

  • Prep: 5 mins
  • Cook: 4 hrs
  • Yields: 4

4 pork chops (this can be increased for more serves if required as the dish has plenty of sauce)

1 onion diced

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup BBQ sauce

1 cup tomato sauce

1Place pork chops on base of slow cooker (in single layer if possible) and add onion on top.

2Mix brown sugar and sauces and pour over chops.

3Cook on low for 4hrs.

4In final hour add Tea Towel under lid to thicken up sauce.

5Serve and spoon over cooking sauces.

I halve this recipe as there is only two of us and it’s very yummy πŸ˜‹, I serve with creamy mashed potato, carrots and beans and I pour the left over sauce over the veggies. Make this quite often ❀

I haven’t tried personally but I don’t see why not Carlie πŸ™‚ I would think beef would be better as less oily than lamb πŸ™‚

Could you try this recipe with either lamb chops and/or chuck beef?

Believe it or not I loved these more then I do RIBS!!!! I used 2kg pork loin chops but left the qty of the sauce the same as above as it makes plenty of sauce and still cooked them for 4 hours on LOW. I thickened with some cornflour and served with mash DELISH and as the recipe is called they truly are β€˜simple n saucy’

Had this for tea tonight easy to put together, but the taste is amazing.
I left out the onion, personal taste. I took the lid of for the last twenty minutes instead of the tea towel trick. Served with mash potato/sweet potato and pumpkin. Will definitely make again
