  • 1-2kg silverside piece
  • 10 cloves
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • small onion sliced
  • small leek sliced
  • 1 carrot sliced
  • 1 stick of celery cut up + leaves
  • handful of shallots cut up
  • handful of coriander cut up
  • water


  • Wash silverside under warm running water than add to the slow cooker
  • Add all the ingredients and just cover to the top of the silverside with water
  • Cook on low 6-8hrs in 6L slow cooker
