Sausage Sensation
Serving: 2
Ingredients
- *Note* This recipe is for a double batch - I serve one and freeze the other. Recipe can be halved if you choose
- 24 thin beef sausages
- 2 small onions diced
- 1 x 415g can condensed tomato soup
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 100g diced bacon
- Cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place sausages into slow cooker raw
- Add onion and bacon
- Combine other ingredients and pour over sausages
- Cook on low 6hrs - recipe will tolerate longer cooking times if you need it.
- *Optional* Some slow cookers that cook 'hotter' may benefit from a cup or even 2 cups of water added during cooking process to maintain the saucy finish. Just check as you go along and if drying out, you can chose to add water.
- *Approximate cost $10 - so a very cheap meal x 2 for families

Delicious! We used a lot less sausages (about 800g – very thick), and added ~200g of sliced mushrooms to the mix (added on top with the onion and bacon). The sauce was thick, and a fantastic partner to the soft-cooked sausages. We will definitely be making this one again!
Delicious and so easy hubby was keen for seconds and leftovers for lunch the next day
My kids love this and ask for it often. Even my autistic daughter who has food issues loves this recipe.
I’ve served it with a number of different things including mashed potato, rice and salad.
Grandchildren have given this recipe the thumbs up so it’s going on my meal planner. Thank you for another winner Paulene
Absolutely delicious sausage recipe ? So cheap and easy too! Served it with mashed potatoes and veggies. I have already added this one to my favourites list ? Thanks for sharing this one Paulene, it’s a keeper ?????
Only used about half the amount of sausages and turned out perfectly. Lots of favour but still mild enough for a little one to eat. Will be making again ?
Absolutely delicious and really tasty and i left out the bacon, i used a lot less sausage’s and i served it on top of mash potato and vegetables
So yummy! Mister 3 wanted seconds which he never does so its a winner in my eyes, we served with mash, mixed veg and broccoli/cauliflower bake.
Just wondered if this can be made with the hot dog sausages in a tin?
I would not recommend using already cooked tin sausages for this one
Everyone in my family loved this served with mashed potato.Even my fussy hubby. He has been hanging out for something tomato based and was very excited by it.
So glad I tried this today, smelt so good while cooking, enjoyed by the whole family and will most certainly be making it again
