EmailTweet 8 Full-screen Potato & Sweet Potato Bake Side Dish, Vegetable August 7, 2014 Potato & Sweet Potato Bake 5 0 5 1 Prep: 10 mins Cook: 4 hrs 10 mins 4 hrs 4 hrs 10 mins Yields: 6 as a side dish Ingredients4 Potatoes, thin sliced 1 large Sweet Potato, thin sliced 1 Onion, thin sliced 1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic 2 rashers diced bacon, rind removed 1 Tablespoon Mustard 1 can (no water added) condensed cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup 1/2 - 3/4 cup Grated Cheese Directions1Spray bowl of slow cooker with oil spray 2Layer bottom with potato slices, then sweet potato slices, then potato slices until you have used half of all of them 3Top with diced bacon and thin sliced onion 4Layer with remaining sweet potato and potato until all used up 5Mix soup with garlic and mustard and pour over top 6Cook on low for 4-6hrs depending on your cooker (see note) 7Half an hour before serving top with cheese and continue to cook until melted 8 9*Notes* 10- Cream of soup can be exchanged for other cream of soups, eg cream of asparagus or cream of celery etc for different flavours 11- I cooked mine in my medium 3L slow cooker which is twice as slow as my 6L large one so depending on your cooker you may need to adjust time. 12- Cook until potato is tender to fork and not crunchy then add the cheese to melt Submitted by Paulene Christie close full screen 00:00 1 Review Daz June 20, 2021 Wow, this is definitely getting another go, I was quite surprised how nice this was, I used mushroom soup and it was delicious… Cancel reply Your comment/review...All fields are required to submit a review.Your name ...
