Incredibly tasty Mexican shredded beef – and SO EASY with just 4 Ingredients!
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- 1kg blade roast
- Burrito seasoning 50g packet
- Refried beans 435g can
- Enchilada cooking sauce 375g bottle (see notes)
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to slow cooker
- Cook on high 6hrs or on low 9hrs
- Shred and return cooked meat to sauce to coat before serving
- NOTES: You could swap enchilada cooking sauce with nachos sauce or salsa or canned tomato purée but it won’t have same depth of flavour as original intended sauce.Serve on rolls with slaw or would also be great in tacos, wraps, or on pizza.Cooked in my Crock-Pot Express Crock Multi-Cooker

Loved this recipe. Didn’t use the beans but still had amazing flavour.
So easy and very delicious. Plenty for a big family and leftovers. We had it with tacos & fajitas.
absolutely yummy!! I added a diced onion to the recipe and served it with mexican rice and guacamole in burritos and will be having it again!!
Amazing made with chuck steak and served it as nachos and using the leftover meat to make a pie .
We loved this. I used gravy beef and it was so tender. I did find it a little to spicy for my children and almost for myself. I will be trying it with half a packet of the burrito seasoning next time though. Or even leave it out.
Yum! Absolutely loved this recipe.
Absolutely delicious! Will definitely make again ?
So easy and very yummy. Used it in homemade burritos and as a topping for nachos. Will definitely make again
This recipe is spot on with flavours and texture. It went down a total treat in my household when I used it making enchiladas
Was ok but coles sent me a big piece of meat so took longer to cook. Might add veggies half way through next time
Recipe sounds awesome, I would like to make it.
Where would I find the step 4 – notes?
Thanks
Alanna
Hi Alanna, they were right below where it said notes … but I’ve formatted that heading better now to stand out 🙂
