Fudge Spoons

April 22, 2016

  • Prep: 10 mins
  • Cook: 1 hr 30 mins
  • Yields: 30 spooons or less if needed

500g of chocolate

1 tbs butter

1 tbs vanilla essence

1 x 395g can condensed milk

Decorations (found in cake section of supermarkets)

Cooking fudge

1Place all ingredients into slow cooker

2On Low - lid off

3Stir every 15mins or so for 90mins - use a metal spoon to stir

Filling spoons

1I purchased a large stack of inexpensive spoons for this and I bent each one just slightly so that it would sit on a tray without rolling over - this makes filling them easier

2Spoon fudge mix onto each spoon to fill

3Top with cake decorators of your choice, pressing in just slightly to fix them in place

4A regular fudge mix will make around 30 spoons

5Place tray of spoons in fridge until set and leave refrigerated until serving

1Alternatively make only as many as you want then pour the remaining fudge into a lined tray and set as a regular block of fudge squares to serve as well as your spoons

2Don't store in freezer then try to put the spoons on tongues 😉

3Great party food!

Great recipe. Put on plastic spoons. Were a popular Christmas dessert. 🙂
