    Delicious!

Such a tasty and easy recipe to prep. All prepped in less than 10 mins and cooked on low for 6 hrs. The prep time of 10hrs 40mins is not correct. Must have been a slide bar error lol. Enjoy with rice, creamy mash or pasta!

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

I’ve updated your time now to correct time 🙂

  3. Luan

We did not enjoy this one unfortunately.

  4. Bronwyn Mills

This was quite good, some bread and butter to dip in made it perfect

  5. Bob Lewis

Delicious so easy to prepare thoroughly enjoyed this with creamy mash. I swapped the cooking cream as I had none for Natural Creek yogurt .

  6. Kellie

This was Yum.. i used less curry powder even my fussiest child ate it.. will definetly make this again

  7. Kim McDermott

This recipe is amazing. Even my kids (2yo and 7yo) love this meal!

  8. Amy Hogan

This was superb! I altered slightly to fit what was on hand/me not reading the recipe properly (e.g. I dumped a whole 410gr tin of coconut milk in and THEN read it should be less, so omitted the cooking cream!) plus I didn’t have a stock cube so left that out. But it was a lovely flavorsome curry that wasn’t in the least bit spicy. Thanks, Sharon! It’s a winner 😀

  9. Darrin Smith

    Yummy, so easy

  10. Jess Horton

So simple to prepare and absolutely delicious. Served ours with creamy mashed potatoes which was a perfect accompaniment to this creamy curry. Housemate loved it too.

  11. Jenny

Absolutely love this easy creamy chicken curry!!! The thing I love about this too is just throwing everything in2 your sc ? saves washing up ? ? on my faves list ?

  12. Colleen Snibson

OMG, this was so delicious. I could have gone back and eaten more and more. The chicken was so tender and juicy, the sauce was so full of flavor, and it was so easy to make. Definitely going to become a family favorite. All of the family absolutely loved it. Thanks, Sharon, for the recipe.

  13. Karen caton

Have a very fussy husband, but he loved this. A winner!!

  14. Carla Mullenberg

    Love Love this dish.

  15. Pammie's Kitchen

Very nice meal. Wasn’t sure on how much curry to add but next time will add the full amount.
    A keeper thank you.

  16. Katie

Made this for me and my husband and it’s delicious! I added 4 tbsp curry powder as my husband likes it spicy but I might even add a bit more next time. Lovely and creamy and really tasty.

  17. Lisa

    Love love love ??

  18. Binnyjh

Not a fan of this one. Way too much liquid and didn’t thicken. Didn’t find it creamy as others did and I followed the recipe exactly. The chicken was lovely and tender but the flavour wasn’t a hit with us. I don’t like that it was just curry powder. Won’t be making again.

  19. Carla

The whole family loved this one. It’s a winner and so easy. I didn’t have the chicken soup so just added a bit more chick stock.

  20. Maureen

Delish! We served with rice and pappadums.

  21. Maureen Greet

Really tasty meal. I had a larger tin of coconut milk so used all of it rather than waste it, so I added another teaspoon of cornflour to ensure it thickened well. Nice dish!

  22. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

I wanted to try this after it had so many great reviews … they weren’t wrong!
Easy to cook, smelled great cooking and tasted fantastic!
I was a little heavy handed on the curry for our kids (with almost 3T) but it was perfect for the grown ups – yum yum!
Next time I’d add raw pasta in the last 45 mins or so which would absorb the sauce a little but produce a creamy curry chicken pasta for a complete meal.
I’d definitely cook this one again ?
    Thanks Sharon

  23. Jaime

Don’t have cooking cream on hand, chasing an alternative please… Evaporated milk??

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

While it won’t be as creamy that could work 🙂

  24. David

Fantastical recipe and very easy – good for weeknights.

I throw in some cubed, cooked potato with the mixed veges to help bulk it out (plus the flatmate likes chicken and potato curry).

  25. Jess

I made this the other night – used chicken breast instead of thighs (justroughly cubed) and it was delicious!

  26. Kate Williamson

We have this a lot. A definite favourite. So creamy and delicious! We always use cubed chicken breast.

  27. Jade

I used coconut cream instead of cooking cream and it tasted just like the packet stuff. Better even!

  28. Tara

Best curry recipe I have cooked. So creamy and full of flavour. I used chicken breast so I cut the cooking time back to 4 hours and it was perfect.
Will be trying this one using sausages next. YUM ?

  29. Bex Collins

    Yum yum yum.
For hubby n I plus almost 9 yr old boy loved it.
6 yr old girl tried but wast to sure.
But I’m gunna make it again as nice easy.
New recipe kids need to try it afew times.
    But we’ll top for hubbq n I.

  30. susanne jones

Tried this the other night, did not fail too impress, i love curries, will def. be a regular in my house, yum yum yum 🙂

  31. Laura

I have tried quite a few recipes from this page now and it’s by far my favorite! Even my fussy husband enjoyed it! Thank you.. delicious!

  32. Lee

If we are short on time could you do 3 hours on high?

  33. Debbie B

The whole family really enjoyed this dish! Will definitely be making it again.
I also added some frozen veg in the last hour and served with rice!

  34. Amy

This was an absolute hit in my house, my teenage son loved it.
I added potato near the beginning of the cooking time and cooked for around 3.5 hours on high as it was later in the afternoon.
I also cooked broccoli and carrot til tender and added to the slow cooker for the last 15 minutes. Served on sweet potato mash..yummy!

  35. Rita Price

11 years old grandson cooked this last night. It was delicious if a tad mild for me. I will definitely be making again for grandchildren.

  36. Deborah Hayes

The chicken curry was a family winner. nice and easy.

  37. Halona

My first curry in a slow cooker…and it will not be the last. What a great recipe. I read somewhere that there was too much sauce…not in this household….we love sopping it up with bread. Husband has been known to pour more over a slice of buttered bread 🙂

I used chicken drumsticks and some chicken wings that had to be used and will stick with them next time. I also used about 4T of Herbies whole seed curry mix….had just the right amount of sing. A keeper…

  38. Shaz

I added 2 teaspoon fruit chutney to make it a sweet curry.. so delish

  39. Natasha Kidman

Oh wow – Easy creamy chicken curry (with rice) was absolutely delicious!!! I added garlic to ours! Hit with everyone, no complaints with hubby and 4 kids , and plenty of leftovers for 2 lunches !!

  40. Sharon Robinson

This was absolutely delicious. Made to recipe, except I used chunks of breast. I also added some capsicum. I served it with creamy mash which was delish with it, but I’m going to try it with some pasta added next time instead – it was really creamy so I think there’ll be enough liquid.

  41. Katherine Banitskas

This is a wonderful, tasty and easy curry. You can add as much or as little of the curry to suit your taste, I use 2 tablespoons. The leftovers freeze really well, I turn those into curry puffs, by putting them into puff pastry.

  42. Jemma

Could you leave the coconut milk out ?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

If you do replace the liquids up to that same volume. You could use evap milk etc?

  43. Julie

We all love this one but I use beef instead!! So yummy ?

  44. Samantha Herbert

Big hit with my family, even used left overs with cream cheese on toast for breaky. Thank you so much!

  45. Anjuli Lansley

Absolutely love this. Added broccoli, carrot and capsicum with about 2.5 hours to go

  46. Carrie

Yum, Yum, Yum. I had 1.5 kg of thigh fillets so used a full tin of coconut milk and added garlic and carrots, capsicum and zucchini. Served with rice and it was delicious. Thank you very much for a simple, easy yummy meal. ???

  47. Nicole Lovell

This is an absolutely amazing and delicious recipe. Add a heap of veggies and served it with rice and it was an absolute hit. Will be making it all the time

  48. aleesha

    Absolutely delicious.
My kids favourite slow cooker recipe. I just add a bag of frozen peas, carrots and corn towards the end.

  49. Tony

Made this and left it to cool and made pies in my pie maker.
    Wonderful.
Tried again later making the pies in the oven.
    Even better 🙂
Best chicken curry pies I’ve had to date.

  50. Marie King

Love this dish. Flavours were amazing. Used 2 tablespoons of curry as I’m normally not one to like curries. That has not changed, I’m sold, as long as it’s not too hot.

  51. Michelle Pigg

Good morning everyone. Just wondering if you think this would work with thickened cream instead of cooking cream?,and would I still add the coconut milk?Thank you and have a nice day.?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

If using a regular cream instead of cooking cream, I add 1-2 tsp cornflour to the cream first before hand, it helps prevent splitting (more info HERE)

  52. Mary-Ann De Hoon

Could you omit the cream and just use a 400ml can of coconut cream?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

I expect you could Mary-Ann 🙂 It would just be less creamy and may need a little thickening at the end?

  53. Natalie

This is great and easy to make. My family loves it

  54. Sarah Vriesen

I cooked this for my family the other night. It was a massive hit, even my 2 year old loved it. Will definitely be making this again

  55. Shantell

    Yum! Definitely having this again

  56. Rachel

I made this meal on Saturday and hands down was the best curried chicken I’ve ever had

  57. Debbie Mihalos

This is the best curry chicken i have ever made, this is the only way i make it now ?

  58. Bert Williams

Can you substitute the coconut milk for normal milk I hate coconut milk it’s yuck make’s me sick when I consume it

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Bert I would just make up the extra with more cooking cream myself 🙂

  59. Kirstyn aitchison

Best SC meal I have done by far.. I doubled the recipe and used snow peas, carrot and capsicum.. my family loved it and have requested to have it more often, my partner pretty much ate the whole lot ??

  60. Chantel Atherton

Made this tonight. Was a hit with the family. Will definitely be making it again

  61. Tash

I do bulk slow cooker meals for time safer and also to help keep good meal proportions for weight loss . Not a curry fan normally but OMG this was just amazing ?. I always use chicken thighs when doing chicken recipes and this didn’t dissapoint . Thank you .

  62. Dawn

This is the best! I have made it 3 times now and everyone loves it! It’s so easy and tasty, I just added 2 to 3 tablespoons of fruit chutney. I have served it with creamy mashed potatoes and with rice, either one compliments this dish beautifully!

  63. Elaine Bailey

Loved this recipe. So easy. Didnt see “diced chiken” ? used whole skinless thighs, still turned out great.

  64. Elaine Bailey

Made this and loved it. But I didnt see the “diced” i?n the chikem. Made with whole skinless thighs, turned out great.

  65. Holly

I’ve made this recipe twice and loved it! So easy to make and yummy. Easily freezes, which makes it a good option for work lunches. I put in a bag of frozen veggies in the last hour which worked well.

  66. Barb

Yum yum yum yum yum, don’t usually make curries as most are too hot for me but this was mild enough for me, I did increase the curry powder second time I made it, easy and loved I could pack it with all the vege I liked.

  67. Corinne

Almost never comment but this one is a winner. Absolutely delicious and perfect for a cold Winter night.

  68. Gill Hay

Hubby and I absolutely loved it. Omitted the coconut milk and added extra cream. Added mixed veg towards the end. It’s going to be a regular. Beautiful comfort food! ?

  69. Emily

Delicious! I swapped out the coconut milk and cooking cream combo for a tin of carnation light and creamy and added it at the start. Worked out perfectly. Only added 2 tablespoons of curry powder and was very mild but still flavoursome. Added 2 cups of frozen mixed veggies 1 hour before serving. Served with mashed potatoes.

  70. Julie

Made this today is a hit in our house – I left out the coconut cream and used lactose cream instead. Used 2 1/2 tsp curry.
Delicious!! Definitely will make this again ?

  71. Tania

Delicious! Super easy, followed recipe exactly. Used 2T of curry powder & will increase to 2.5T next time.

  72. Ani Stuli

Very yummy dish. I used 600grams diced chicken thigh (what I had in the freezer.). Accidently used ‘Creamy Chicken Soup’ instead of ‘Condensed Cream of Chicken’. No issue – tasted delish. Hubby and 2 year old toddler happy. Followed recipe but fried the chicken and some onion first. Cooked in low for 5.5 hours in my Sunbeam 5L Secret Chef SC

  73. Michelle

    So yummy ?
    Definitely making again

  74. Tracy

So it was the 2nd time trying this recipe as the first time I didn’t put enough curry powder in it because my husband doesn’t like hot spicy foods. I made the recipe today exactly per instructions and used 2Tbspn of curry powder and it was perfect mild curry for the wuss of the family aka my husband who doesn’t like heat and my 17 year old son said this is his favourite curry. Everyone in my family love this curry.

Highly recommend for anyone wanting a tasty simple curry

  75. Oriana Haddy

I actually made this for dinner tonight. This dish is packed full of flavour, however, I did find it a little on the salty side so I added an extra cup of water then added penne pasta to absorb all the water. Kids loved it. I called it chicken curry pasta when serving it up to them. I will make this again but perhaps next time I’ll omit the chicken stock cube.

Tried this tonight. I think i put too much curry powder in it. Was a tad hot. But will definatrly try again and add alittle less curry powder.

All the family over this recipe. I made double and cooked low for 7hrs. The house smelt delicious ? It was very easy and very yummy.

  83. Leah

I made this recipe today and it was delicious. So easy to prepare – less than 10 minutes, perfect for a busy day.
    Cooked for approx 6 hours.
Tasted delicious – had plenty of leftovers – this would be delicious to use for curry pies as leftovers.

  84. Sharon Harbort

Made this today threw it all in a 6 a.m. for lunch. Forgot the stock cube, used a whole tin of coconut milk instead of cream. Different taste form my normal curry will make it again. Oh also used 3 Tblsps curry and thought during cooking might be tooo much (we don’t mind hot) but it wasn’t over hot

  85. Sew Surprising

    5 stars
A super scrummy meal. I’ve been using what I have, I did change a few things, added a handful of onions, I didn’t add the cream till the last hour, and I used those pesky unwell veggies in the crisper, finely diced carrots, chopped broccoli, bit of cauliflower as well. Really nice and creamy sauce with a hint of curry, this would work so well as a base for a chicken curry pie.

  86. Melissa Walden

    5 stars
wonderful and so easy, we made it with chicken sausages and served it on rice with garlic naan bread. Will be a regular on our family menu.

Away on holiday and I put my hand up to cook dinner last night. I chose to try the easy creamy chicken curry. What a hit it was! My 6yo grandson gave me a huge hug and said it was so yummy and the best dinner ever 🥰 I ended up using 1.6kg of chicken and served it with mashed spud 🤤

OOHHMMYY word this sure is an easy curry full of deliciousness. Hubby going back for seconds. Giving it a 12/10 🤩😂. Cooked in my sunbeam 5.5 L sc on low for around 4 hours. INITE: I added 1 teaspoon each dried mixed herbs & thyme. And a handful each peas, corn & capsicum
    Thanks Jenny P

This is a great recipe, the whole family love it. The only tweek I do is make it 2 teaspoons of curry instead of tablespoons.

  92. Christine

Used the left over sauce to put over poached eggs on toast. Like hollandsise sauce only much yummier. Too good to waste.

This is so easy, with simple ingredients. Turns out delicious every time. This is the only curried chicken I make now.

This recipe is easy to make and taste amazing. Next time I want to double the sauce because everyone loved it. Would I double everything in the sauce as well as the stock cube or would it make it too salty?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Hi Kerry – double the sauce will make a LOT of sauce – but no reason you couldn’t if that’s what you loved 🙂 If everything else is doubled then the stock could be also and still have the same balanace.
However I would be hesitant to double that amount of curry. But again, if you loved it that way then you still could of course 🙂

  98. Nadine.

An easy to prepare recipe with a delicious curry flavour.
I used Chicken breast pieces, with added frozen peas and carrots.
Served with a packet of Continental chicken rice. Some leftovers for work lunch.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Great feedback, thank you Nadine 🙂

  99. Jenny

Can this be cooked for 3hrs on high??

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

You’ll probably be able to get it over the finish line in that time Jenny – depending on your slow cooker

  100. Veronica Hedger

Hi Paulene, I’ve made this before for 4. If I were to double the recipe would I double everything including the curry powder. Would the cooking time need to be longer? Thank you in advance for your advice. 😊

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Did you find it really saucy when you cooked it Veronica? I’m just mindful that doubling everything would make it too salty potentially? I’m wondering though if it’s already quite saucy it would no doubt happily take double the chicken and the rest as is?

  101. Susan Williams

    5 stars
Made this for the first time today. It was really very nice & tasty. I didn’t put quite as much curry powder in, I don’t like it too spicy. I also added couple of diced potatoes at the beginning along with some green beans & the frozen veggies. I had half a capsicum sitting in the crisper so sliced that up & added it too. Needed to add in about a desert spoon of extra flour to thicken a bit more. The tin of coconut milk was too much for the recipe so I checked google & yes you can freeze the leftovers. Put it in an ice block tray, it does split but once you cook it & stir well it will be fine. All in all a lovely recipe & plenty left over to freeze as well !!!

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

That’s some great feedback! Thanks for your fab 5-star review Susan! 🙂

  102. Karina Jubb

    5 stars
This is absolutely delicious the whole family loved it. The only change I made was I only used 2 and a half teaspoons of curry powder and that was plenty for us. Will be making this again for sure.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

What wonderful feedback Karina!! Thanks so very much 🙂

  103. Steve Burns

    fan-tas-tic

I put it on a little late so set it to ‘auto’ using a kmart slow cooker. It was done and perfectly cooked after 4.5hrs.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

So happy you enjoyed it Steve! 🙂

  104. Leah

This was delicious – even though I accidentally left out the coconut milk. I’ll be adding this to my growing list of favourites.

Quick to throw together and very tasty.
I only had a couple of drumsticks to use, so I also added 6 chicken sausages, which I cut into pieces after they were cooked & stirred them back through the sauce.
    Served with mashed potato.
    Very nice.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Hooray! So happy you enjoyed it Martinah 🙂

  106. Susan Williams

Love this dish, very easy & so tasty. I don’t like things too hot so just add in a bit less curry powder. Freezes well too which living alone is very handy. This is on repeat in my repertoire 😀

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Thanks for your awesome 5-star review Susan!! 🙂

  107. Michelle Jackson

Yummy 😋Definitely do this one again. So easy & husband liked it he had seconds and plenty leftovers to freeze for a rainy day. Thanks 😊 for sharing

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

So wonderful to hear! Thanks Michelle 🙂

  108. Tracy Catlin

This was great. I used half a can (200ml) lite coconut milk and ordinary cream, because that is what I had on hand. I used two tablespoons of Keens curry powder and would not want to use any more than that. It makes a lot of sauce and I found it needed extra cornflour to thicken it. I also added the diced veggies to make a complete meal and served with rice.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback Tracy 🙂
