Easy Chicken Noodles
Make use of cooked chicken, simple ingredients and a short cook time to make an easy fast and family friendly meal!
Equipment
- 6L Slow Cooker (would also fit 3.5L)
- Stove Top (Saucepan + Frypan)
Ingredients
- 1 cooked BBQ/Hot chicken
- 250 grams diced bacon
- 2 tsp oil
- 300 mls cooking cream
- 400 grams can of creamed corn
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh curly leaf parsley, chopped + extra to garnish
- 4 pkts 2 minute noodles, chicken flavour – I use Maggi brand
Instructions
- Take the cooked chicken and remove all the meat from the bones and shred. Discard bones/skin. Set chicken meat aside for now.
- Brown diced bacon in the oil over high heat for 5-10mins to crisp/brown bacon.
- Add all ingredients (except the 2 minute noodles) to the slow cooker
- Add the seasoning sachets from the noodles to the slow cooker – but not the noodles.
- Slow cook on low for 3hrs.
- Cook noodles (no seasoning) as per packet instructions on stove top. Drain noodles and stir them into the slow cooker dish
- Serve immediately with a sprinkle of extra chopped parsley.

An absolutely delicious dinner. Wish I could give it a million stars.
Will be making it again & again.
The only change I will make is I’ll be using diced chicken & add some corn kernels in as well plus adding some mixed herbs, garlic powder & onion powder as well.
Hubby went back for seconds and even the kids approved
Absolutely amazing, so quick and easy to make and it’s a cheap meal. Will definitely be making it again.
Cooked this tonight as I had everything at home except the bacon in which I substituted with Sun dried tomatoes strips to give the dish some colour and taste.
Easy, quick and my son loved it.
Thanks.
Great cheap quick meal. Will absolutely try this one again but will add some frozen corn and peas just to up the kid’s vegetable intake. Winner in our house
Hey Paulene. My daughter is cooking this for us tomorrow night. We need to use zymil lactose free cream instead of cooking cream, how do we stop this from splitting? Thanks.
I’ve never used Zymil but our admin Felicity does so I’ll ask her to pop by here for advice Jo 🙂
