Cheesy Baked Bean Pasties 0 0 5 0

Slow Cooked flaky pastry pillows filled with baked beans and melted cheese. Great for breakfast on the run or a light snack or lunchboxes 🙂

200g can baked beans

1/2 cup grated tasty cheese

1/4 cup grated mozzarella cheese

1 sheet puff pastry

1 additional egg, whisked, to brush pastry


1Mark and cut a sheet of puff pastry into 4 squares

2Combine the two grated cheeses together in a bowl

3Remove excess sauce from baked bean can and discard

4Place a triangle area of cheese into one half of each square. Add approx 2 tablespoons of baked beans onto each cheese area.

5Fold the other half of pastry square over the beans and cheese to form a triangle shaped pillow. Press down along the two open sides of pillow with a fork to seal.

6Line slow cooker bottom with a sheet of baking paper lightly spritzed with non stick spray.

7Place pastie pillows in slow cooker in single layer and lightly brush top of each one with egg wash

8Cook on HIGH for 1hr 20m total using The Tea Towel Trick

9Turn over half way during cooking and rebrush the second surface with egg wash also

10Serve hot and fresh or wrap in foil for lunchboxes
