Cheesy bacon scrolls with green tomato relish
Serving: 14
Ingredients
- 2 cups SR flour
- 1 cup Greek yoghurt - natural pot set
- 1/2 cup green tomato relish (I use Masterfoods jar)
- 150g diced bacon
- 1 cup tasty cheese grated
Instructions
- Combine flour and yoghurt and mixto a dough consistency
- Turn out onto a floured surface and kneed briefly then roll out to a flat square (1-1.5cm thick depending on how you like your scrolls)
- If you don't have a rolling pin to do so just flour a clean sauce bottle and use that like I did - of course don't push down too hard on a glass bottle
- When scroll is rolled out to a square of desired flatness start adding toppings
- I used lashings of green tomato relish, then bacon, then 2/3 of the grated cheese
- Roll the sheet up into one large log then use a sharp knife to cutthis log in slices around 2cm thick
- Lay slices flat onto a sheet of baking paper in slow cooker
- Add remaining cheese scattered on top of scrolls
- Place tea towel under the lid
- Cover and cook on high for approx 90mins

Amazing
Cooked this in my sunbeam secret chef so had to reduce the cooking time!
I just poped it under the grill to give it more colour!
Great finger food or for an accompliment to a main meal!
Delicious. I made these with cheese, ham & tomoto relish, & also a cheese & marmite batch for my sons birthday. They were a great hit. First batch was a little crispy for my liking with recommended time, so I took the second batch out 15mins early & they were perfect! Thanks
