Total Time 1 hour 40 minutes

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (marked out into quarters)
  • 8 slices of shaved mild salami
  • 8 cheese sticks (I used Kraft brand)
  • 1 egg whisked

  • Lay out each sheet of puff pastry on bench and cut into quarters using a sharp knife (no need to separate the quarters at this stage)
  • On each quarter lay one slice of thin shaved salami and one cheese stick
  • Place cheese stick at top of square and roll up the individual square with salami and cheese inside
  • Pinch both ends of parcel closed tight
  • Pierce twice along top of each parcel with fork
  • Brush with egg yolk
  • Place in slow cooker that has been lightly sprayed with non stick oil spray
  • Cover with teatowel (Tea Towel Trick) and cook on HIGH for 1hr 15 minutes, then turn over and cook for final 15mins
  • Enjoy hot, great party food - caution cheese filling will be hot!

  1. Do you cook them in a single layer or can you cook more separating the layers with grease proof paper?

  2. I was disappointed in these. I cooked them for 20 minutes more than stated and the pastry was still not cooked. I finished them in the oven which crisped them up. Maybe my SC is a bit weak ????

  3. These are awesome! I get asked to make them for every BBQ I go to. I added a little pizza sauce under the salami for a bit of extra flavour.
