Balsamic and honey pulled pork

Ingredients
 

  • 2kg piece of boneless pork shoulder
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup blackberry jam
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 tbs corn flour

Instructions
 

  • Trim fat from pork and remove net
  • In a bowl whisk honey, jam, hoisin, chicken broth, garlic and onion and pour over pork,
  • Cook on low 7-8 hours.
  • Remove and shred pork,
  • In a saucepan add sauce, thicken with cornflour and pour some over pork.

  1. Delicious recipe. I thought the smell coming from the cooker during the day smelt very rich but the meat was perfectly flavored and not overpowering come meal time. Makes heaps! Will make again

  2. I served this on a bread roll with coleslaw. Very delicious, the meat had a nice sweet flavour – was different to try & quite nice overall.
    Will definately make this one again..

  3. Was enjoyed by all members of my family. Simple to make with ingredients that are in my pantry. Suggested to others who are after a new way of cooking pulled pork.
