Cranberry lamb shanks

Cranberry lamb shanks

Ingredients
 

  • 4 (about 2kgs) lamb shanks
  • salt and pepper for seasoning
  • 1 x 275g jar of cranberry sauce
  • 125mL (1/2 cup) red wine
  • 2 tablespoons wholegrain mustard
  • 2 tablespoons rosemary leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • 1. Season lamb shanks with salt and pepper
  • 2. Combine remaining ingredients in a jar
  • 3. Place lamb shanks in the slow cooker and pour wet ingredients over the top, cook on low
  • 4. Enjoy 6 hours later with your favourite vegies -make sure they only cook for 6 hours and do not become too mushy, yet still fall off the bone

  4. This was delicious! The whole family loved it and had seconds.
    Added some gravy powder and water to the remaining liquid after taking out shanks and it made the best gravy to serve it with.
