  1. The most simple yummy cake… i used a bag of crushed kit kat instead of choc bits.. family love xx

  2. A tea towel is what you use to dry your dishes after washing them .. and yes, you put it under the lid of the slow cooker to soak up the condensation, otherwise the cake would be soggy 🙂

  3. Just made this and was so yummy even used the kit Kat and had some custard with it.

  4. really yummy, I had to put a little water with the mix as it was really dry but will definitely make again

  5. This was the first thing I “baked” in the slow cooker. Nice and easy and really tasty I will definitely be making this again.

I just made this. My husband has never looked so happy about something I’ve baked. It was delicious!!!

  7. Just made this and actually like it!
I used Easter chocolate and should of checked before the 3hrs and probably only needed just under but still good
    Will be making again

So easy and very tasty! I only had 4 bananas so I added a dash of milk to the batter to get the right consistency and added 3/4 of a cup of both white & milk choc chips. Cooked in my lined 6lt sc for 2hrs 25mins… Absolute perfection! Thanks so much for theis recipe Tina 🙂

Whoops my last comment said cooked for 2 hrs 25mins… I actually cooked it for 3 hrs and 25 mins until skewer came out completely clean 🙂

  10. Made this for the first one and it tasted so yum! I will have to adjust my cooking times.

  11. Oh dear, I added an egg to help with the moisture. Should this cause any issues?

      How’d you go 🙂
Only just found this msg now

  12. Second attempt at this. First time I was too eager and it wasn’t cooked through, my own fault. This time it was perfect, took 4hrs in my slow cooker. Such a great easy recipe.

  13. Made this today and turned out amazing only needed 2 hours on low in my slow cooker as it does cook very hot even on low setting will def make it again

  14. Can this be frozen? (the bananas were frozen) and if not how long will it last once cooked? And would that be in The fridge or cupboard?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central March 25, 2019

I think it would freeze ok yes 🙂
I like to wrap cake in slices and freeze that way
Otherwise it would keep a bit longer in fridge for you then in cupboard where it’s exposed to heat so I would store in fridge or cool sealed container for a couple days 🙂

  15. I suck at cooking anything but this was So easy to make, and tastes delicious .

  16. I knowill this is a silly question..but can you use evaporated milk..I’ve bought carnation evaporated milk..by mistake?

That won’t have the same sweetness but liquid to liquid volume would still work but won’t be same result taste wise 🙂

First time making this today had a little taste after it was done very yummy will be definitely be making it again. The 3 hours on low was perfect.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central August 22, 2019

Yes it just may need time adjusted if it’s a thicker cake 🙂 Test it with skewer inserted in middle and if it comes out clean and bounces back when touched lightly on top it’s ready

  18. How is it best to have the bananas? Straight from the shop or ripened till there pretty much black?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central August 24, 2019

I always found really ripe ones easiest to cook with 🙂

I made this again over the weekend. Delicious… Even though it appears my slow cooker is hotter on one side than the other??
I forgot the tea towel initially but it turned out so scrumptious. I took some for my grandsons and the adults tonight. They all loved it too
    😋😋😋😋😋
