Cook Time 5 hours
Total Time 5 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of steak (I used casserole steak)
  • 3 cloves of garlic diced
  • 1 brown onion diced
  • —SAUCE
  • 250ml cream
  • 3 tablespoons of philly cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 handful of grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese
  • A little chives (optional)

Instructions

  • Place onion in the bottom of your slow cooker and top with steak and garlic. I flipped my steak over half way through.
  • Cook for 5hrs on low
  • When steak is almost ready I combined the creamy garlic sauce ingredients (except the handful of grated cheese) in a measuring cup and microwaved for 3 minutes. Once combined tip over the steak and add the handful of cheese. I added this in the last 30 minutes.

Oh wow this is so delicious! Thank you for sharing your recipe Kelly Hicks, it is amazing ? I altered recipe slightly by sauteeing onion and garlic with some cracked pepper in my searing sc first then added 600mls of cooking cream and 300gm of spring onion & chives cream cheese before adding 5 porterhouse steaks and cooking on low for 6hrs. The steaks were absolutely scrumdiddlyumptious ??? will make this over and over again for sure ?????

  2. This sounds Devine think hubby will happy with this I won’t eat it as I don’t eat red meat apart from mince. But could do some chicken thigh fillets for master 4 and myself

    🍃 Changes :

Steak I swapped to a kg of diced beef

I added everything, the cream etc from the start all in (cooking cream of course) but left out the cheese

Used the tea towel trick too

    6hrs cooking on low

Towards the end I added a heaped spoon of gravy powder to thicken

I decided to skip the cheese tonight
With the addition of a spoonful of gravy powder toward the end it thickened into a beautiful thick creamy garlic gravy & I just didn’t feel the adding of cheese to that is what we all wanted that night

    It’s beautiful & tasty & tender just as it is 🙂 🙂
    Lovely x
