Sour cream and chives potato and cauliflower bake
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- 6-8 potatoes
- 1/4 head of cauliflower
- 1 Small Onion
- 1 cup of grated cheese
- 1 250ml tub of sour cream
- 1 packet of cream of chicken soup
- 250ml of water
- 1 table spoon of chives
- 1 table spoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
Instructions
- Wash and slice potato, cauliflower and onion and put into a layer of each in the slow cooker.
- Repeat until all used.
- Mix the packet of cream of chicken soup, 250ml of water, table spoon of chives, table spoon of garlic powder, tablespoon of onion powder and sour cream in a measuring cup and pour over.
- Cook for 5 hours on low
- Mine was added to the oven to brown up a little.

This was so easy and delicious . Completely devoured by the family that it will be a regular side dish. Next time I might reduce onion powder and garlic slightly, although lovely just to maybe not be so strong.
When do you add the cheese
While this one isn’t my own recipe, I’d suggest adding it to the top in the final 30mins to melt nicely 🙂
Made this last week. As I am cooking for 1, I halved used 4lg potatoes and 1/4 cauliflower then halved onion and garlic powders, everything else remained the same. In oven for 20minutes after cheese was added. Absolute winner. have frozen leftovers for sidedishes.
