This was absolutely beautiful!!! I shredded the chicken once cooked but it just practically fell apart anyway!!! Will definitely cook this again 🙂

We tried this for the first time tonight! It’s delicious! Whole family loved it, will definitely make again!

Trying this for the first time today. Do you trim any fat off the chicken thighs first or just put them in as they come?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Up to you, either is ok 🙂

Would this work with skinless chicken breast? Thanks.

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Sure can 🙂 I find breast a little more dry so I prefer thigh fillets but you can use breast too

Could I possibly used Diced beef ?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Yes you can just give beef longer .. around 6-7hrs to be tender 🙂

Had this last night. I didn’t have any French onion soup so used a packet of cream of chicken instead. Turned out really nice and everyone loved it so I will do this again.

Halved this recipe for 2 of us. Added about 1tbsp of mint jelly as with other obsession recipes. Also added some frozen peas 1 hr before end and thickened with a few gravy granules at end. Served with mash. Very easy. Did not disappoint.

This is yum as. One of our go to’s for quick and easy and tasty. I always just use time condensed chicken or mushroom; whatever I have on hand. Either is yum. I stir through peas and corn in the last hour and it makes a delicious pie filling, or sometimes chop in carrots and celery if I have more time.

We have this regularly, I only use 1/2 pkt of soup mix & always low salt as otherwise we find it too salty. Usually add some frozen peas & beans about 3/4 hours before serving. It always goes down well.

I cooked this a few times b4 n decided to cook it for dinner tonight as I had a punnet of mushrooms I had to use up n I also added peas in the last half hr, (I’m a pea gal, I need my peas haha 😜), served on microwaveable white rice, seasoned with cracked salt/pepper, delicious 😋 love obsession sauce 😍 thank you again Paulene for sharing your amazing recipes with us 😘

This was as tasty as Obsession made with beef and lamb. I added celery and carrots at the beginning as well as 1tbsp of mint sauce. I made mine with chicken legs and served with cauliflower mash and steamed vegetables. Such a versatile recipe and one I’ll make again and again.

That’s awesome! Thanks so much for leaving your feedback Jan 🙂

Hi Paulene, the only can of cream of mushroom soup that we have in our Australian shops is “condensed” –
“Campbell’s Condensed Soup Cream Of Mushroom 420g”.
Is this suitable for this recipe?

    1. Paulene @ Slow Cooker Central

Hi David, I am Australian, this is the same soup, yes

So inexpensive and so easy to make! Makes plenty of sauce so don’t be stingy with it when serving! I left out the extra mushrooms, and served it with winter veg and white rice. There’s never any leftovers when Obsession is on the menu in my house!

What great feedback! Thanks Kevin 🙂
