This is the only way I’ll eat Mac n Cheese … from scratch. None of that nasty boxed stuff from the supermarket ! The children, big and small, love it when I make it. So easy and tasty.
Could this recipe be halved?
If I do half of this, cooking time it’s the same?
Thanks !
Very nice on a cold winters night. Will be making again ?. I halved all the ingredients as well as cooking time. Was ready to go in an hour
Yum!
I used the small macaroni pasta and all quantities as per recipe. My cooker (sunbeam secret chef) cooks hot so it was ready within an hour.
Easy to cook.
So happy to see my Mac n cheese recipe is still a fav xx made this when my kids were little and we didn’t have much in the fridge. Fond memories xx
This was a great side dish to steak and it made HEAPS!! I only used one packet of pasta and 8 cups liquid all up. I had about 750ml of cooking cream that needed to be used and made up the extra with hot water.
That’s great! Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback Petrina 🙂
Absolutely yum 😋. So easy to make and no extra dishes and pots to wash which is even better. I will certainly be adding this to my list. I made 1/2 the portion, plenty left over for lunches tomorrow. Thank you Alicia for sharing your recipe.🙂
That’s great to know the half mix went well too! Did you alter the cooking time for that Marilyn?
No I accidently read the recipe wrong and wondered why it wasn’t thicken up 🤔, so cooked a bit more pasta on the stove top and added it in. will try better next time.
update. I made 1/2 moisture again doing it right this time cooked in 1.hr 20 mins. 😊
