Delicious Pea and Ham Soup
Perfect thickness and delicious. The whole family will like 🙂
Serving: 2
Ingredients
- 1 pack green split peas
- 1 bacon hock
- 3 carrots diced
- 2 potatoes diced
- 1 onion, diced
- 7 cups water
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place bacon hock in slow cooker
- Dice up all vegetables and add to slpw cooker
- Add packet of green spilt peas, water and salt and pepper.
- Cook on high for 6-8 hours. When bacon is cooked take out and cut up.
- Blitz it into the soup and serve with a crusty roll.
- My bacon hock was just over 1kg

pea and ham soup is my favourite soup ever. I used this recipe but added 8 cups of water, and instead of salt I added a chicken stock cube I also prefer to use yellow split peas but that’s just my personal choice. very easy and tasty

We loved this soup. I didn’t blend it, so there were pieces of carrot and potato left. I didn’t add any salt, as the ham hock provided enough. The best pea and ham soup recipe I’ve found.
