NOTES
- ~ Cooking cream is a type of cream that doesn't split during cooking. More info on that HERE.
- ~ While I often buy packet grated/shaved parmesan, I really feel this recipe benefits from the BLOCK version you can finely grate yourself for better flavour and less saltiness and less additives that you find in the packet version – it melts better also 🙂
- ~ This recipe could also be used as a PASTA SAUCE also – just toss through you favourite cooked pasta instead of the gnocchi

This was amazing,I personally am not a gnocchi lover but hey gotta give it a go,it was nice but this sauce will be a keeper for me with pasta from now on,I added fresh basil leaves. Another awesome slow cooker recipe, thankyou Pauline!
Love this feedback – thanks so much Kath!! 🙂
I have some cheese kransky in the fridge waiting to be used so it is in SC now 🙂
How was it?
Love love love the sauce😍. Next time will add some garlic🧄. The house smelt delicious, I couldn’t wait till dinner time. Hubby absolutely loved it. It will be on a monthly repeat for us. Thank you Paulene for sharing your new recipe, another winning dinner🏆🙏❤️🌹
Hooray! So happy you loved it tooooo!! 🙂
It was really yummy! Empty plates all around the table. Didn’t have gnocchi so used pasta and added some diced salami and powdered garlic.
AWWW thanks! 🙂 I knew it would be great with pasta too so this is great to hear 🙂
I made this tonight but was limited on time, so after a small amount of advice from our amazing Paulene, I decided to cook this on high.
After 2 hours it was ready for the cooked pasta, I did it with tortellini (as I’m not a fan of gnocchi) it was absolutely beautiful, with a nice but not too thick sauce.
Will definitely make this again.
Thanks so much for letting us know your timing for high – so pleased it turned out great 🙂
