  1. Is it meant to be onion powder instead of onion salt? With the 2teaspoons of salt as well that makes 5 teaspoons of salt in 1 kilo of mince

  2. Julie, most likely onion salt. Minced meat, especially a kilos worth, could absolutely hold 5 teaspoons of salt. Due to the fact that a lot of the salt would cook out with the fat in the mince. Salt also acts as a binding agent, it draws the proteins in the meat together. I’m trying a similar recipe tonight!

  3. I am making this tomorrow 🙂
What kind of pepper do you recommend?
Cracked or ground? Black or white?
    Thanks 🙂

I can’t get hold of onion salt here but onion powder. How much salt shall I put it.

And what is in the mixed herbs? Don’t have it here but I can buy the herbs myself and mix

  5. Hi Angelica?
You can just substitute onion powder for onion salt no problems.
As for the mixed herbs…they are just dried herbs(masterfood brand) in a jar, in the spice isle usually.
    Hope that helps?

made this today ! really quite tasty , i was afraid , using beef mince just from the grocers that it wouldnt come out the same texture , but it was pretty close i think . so my switch up were to use beef instead of lamb , i omitted the salt as the mixed herbs i used and the garlic salt i used (then i used onion powder ) both have salt.. i ended up using Spice Islands brand ‘garlic and herb’ spice mix ( i bought it at costco here inthe usa

  7. Doubled the recipe and did with 2kg lamb mince. Was so yummy ! Everyone loved it and the entire thing was gone after breakfast the next day.

  8. Oh wow can i give this 6 stars…tastes just like it was from a kebab shop. Didnt change anything. Was absolutely delicious and if your a kebab fan give this a try!

  9. Samantha Cooper

Beef kebabs for dinner. It was a little flavour less. I added more salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce ontop while it was cooking hoping to get the flavour thru. Next time ill play around and add extra things in it. But nothing more salt, pepper and bbq sauce couldn’t help.

  10. Husband made this tonight 2 adults, 3 teenagers, yummy, all gobbled up, ate way too much. Will make again,

  11. Heather Turner

Delicious! Left overs are perfect for work lunches in the sandwich press.
My kids (2yrs &1yr) even ate it as I cut theirs thick and called it sausage ?

  12. First time, loved it, will make again, will use Lebanese bread to see different, use wraps for light weight..five stars

  13. Loved it, too much for hubby and I, freezed, will use, hubby came out and asked for another please..loved it ?

  14. I wasn’t sure that this would taste like the kebabs you buy but I was so wrong. It was just delicious and exactly like you buy. Will not need to waste money now I can make my own. Followed the recipe but halved it. Plenty for hubby with heaps left over.

  15. My family love these ?
I use less salt as we found it a little over salty !! But nonetheless still great!

  16. This has got to be the most easiest and best Souvlaki meat substitute ever. When ever I find lamb mince on special or reduced it’s my go to recipe for the family.
Such a universal dish that I bulk make into loaves and then freeze raw to cook up later if I run out of time.
Once cooked I slice it up fine on my slicer and put into containers for school wraps, salads, sandwiches, pizza toppings and also antipasto platters in a Friday night!
When making wraps I use Tzatiki dip and Avocado dip for quicker and cheaper spread if they are on special.
You can also use other mince if lamb is not available.

  17. Made this tonight for the first time….. and it won’t be the last!!! Was absolutely beatiful, I halved the recipe and also the cooking time, came out perfect. Amazed at how very easy it was.Looking forward to making it again.

  18. I’m going to make this tomorrow, once I get the meat, (first time making) could someone please advise, I have onion powder in my cupboard. Could I use this or would it be better to get onion salt?. Also would it change the flavour of it.

  19. Annette Conyngham

I was worried that the meat would fall apart it turned out great was worrying over nothing as I never had a fail yet with any recipes on this site. Enjoyed by us both I had BBQ sauce and Hubby Aioli.

  20. Used lamb, used onion powder as had that in my cupboard, used tortilla’s and praise creamy garlic sauce. Very yummy. Will be making again

  21. Hi I want to make this tonight due to having a large family I need to use 2 kilos of mince just wondering if anyone would know how long I would need to cook it..Thank you in advance

  22. Smiley faces all round! Delicous. I cooked on low for 6hr. Served with all the trimmings and tzatziki with sweet chilli sauce ?

  23. This was a big hit! I used half lamb an half bred mince… I didn’t put mixed herbs in or as much salt as it called for… Still a little salty so will only put the onion salt in next time… Will definitely be making again

  24. David Trendell

Tried this for the first time a few nights ago, and when tasted, I thought I’d died and gone to heaven.
    What an amazing recipe!

  25. We absolutely loved this!!! I didn’t have all the ingredients so I used vegetable stock, garlic powder and salt. I was worried to let it cook while I was out but when I got home it was perfect. It was such a hit with the kids. The next day I made the kids lunch. I sliced the meat and placed it in the sandwich with some tomato sauce, the kids demolished them.

  26. Made these last night but with 500g of beef and 500g lamb. Tasted amazing! I also added Greek spices (master foods) tasted just like from the kebab shop! Even my kids who live on chicken nuggets enjoyed them and they don’t like anything

  27. I used mince beef. As I couldn’t find lamb. Omg!! It was the best! So easy to make.

Had it in wraps with cheese, lettuce, tomato and aloi.

Thanks this is defiantly on my weekly menu now!!!

  28. I’m not normally a lamb fan but everyone in my house loves this one. It also freezes well to have an easy dinner on hand, I wrap mine in baking paper and foil when I make it.

  29. Made this for dinner tonight. Absolutely delicious, and will definitely be included in the ‘regulars repertoire’!

  30. Rita Fiorentino

Whole family loved it….better then the ones you buy from takeaway shops. Will make more often ?

  31. Will never buy takeaway kebabs again! This recipe is just about identical to your favourite gyros meat. Kept it simple with lettuce, onion and tzatziki in wraps. Oh. Em. Gee! ????

  32. Thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. Used half lamb half beef mince. Couldn’t find the garlic powder so used 1 1/2 teaspoon of crushed garlic worked fine. Also made 2 small logs as we are little family cooked for 5 hours on low was perfect.

  33. Kerrie McCreadie

Family favourite. I make chicken kebabs as hubby doesn’t like lamb. Nice easy meal and so quick to prepare. 100 times better than any kebab you could buy. So glad I came across this recipe

  34. Nicola McAllister

Made these for home date night and they were so good. Cooked the lamb as per recipe but used cooked capsicum, white onion and portobello mushroom as filling with tzatziki dip. Also just heated bread instead of toasting. Lots of leftover lamb to pull from the freezer – delish

  35. Cooked this for my family of 5, aged 80-14 they loved it! Made lunches the next day with leftover meat, winning! Will definitely make again ??

  36. Ruth wallis gallagher

was delish, deffo making it again, did it with baking paper instead of alfoil, there was quite a bit of juice over, though i had done it wrong, but that’s normal, so lamb one next??????

  37. Just cooked this for lunch my guests loved them and they are take away kebab buyers thank you so much for sharing this recipe ?

  38. Absolutely delicious! A family favourite on a Friday night!
Have used the same recipe with chicken mince instead as another option!

  39. I am going to make these today but with 500g of lamb mince instead of 1kg. Do I need to adjust the cooking time and shall I half the ingredients?

  40. I tried this for a second time, and this time used 1/2kg each of lamb and beef mince. I also added a healthy teaspoon(s) of Greek Herbs and this made my second attempt much more satisfying than my first. By making a flat loaf this only needed 2 hours high in my Sunbeam 5.5l. All diners had nothing but praise!!

  41. Super tasty! I wrapped mine in two layers of baking paper and turned once half way through cooking. I cooked it for 4hrs on high but would probably try 3.5hr next time. I made my own onion salt using plain salt and onion powder (2:1) and it tasted great!

  42. Wow! I hope as really hesitant to make this. My Miss 13 “hates lamb” but with 500g of lamb mince to use up from the butcher, I was going to give it a crack! I used half of the spice qty’s and had used an Italian herb spice mix because that’s all I had. I used ready made Lebanese bread (feeling lazy) and we didn’t toast them in the sandwich toaster. I had tzaziki to use but my teen advised she ‘doesnt Like tzaziki.) I put on hers BBQ sauce ‘ sour cream, veggies and the sliced lamb mince. My Miss 13 inhaled it. Infact, it wasn’t until I asked her to ‘put the lamb in the fridge’ that she realised my swiftly move! She still wants leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Di, you’re an absolute legend-I can’t believe something so easy is soooo tasty! Will be making this in the beef & chicken varieties. Thank you! X

  43. WOW. This recipe is definitely a keeper in our house. Was hesitant at first with my track record on meat loaf ?. But turned out beautiful. The trick is plenty of sauce when you make the kebabs. Thankyou for this recipe ?

  44. I’m giving this 4 stars as I felt it needed something extra to give it a lift…not sure what tho. Might try some ras el hanout spice from herbies next time I think.
My husband liked this very much, the 12 1/2 y/o grand daughter took one look and had 4 pieces of lettuce, 2 slices tomato, grated cheese and carrot :(, so all in all very mixed responses.

  45. This was lovely and easy to make only suggestion is next time i would use probably only 1 and half teaspoon of mixed herbs for my own personal flavor but otherwise it was a great dish for the family 🙂

  46. This is so full of flavour when made with mince. Will be a family favourite with homemade tortillas. Yummo

  47. Alison Battistuzzi

These will be added to list of regulars in our house…absolutely delicious & easy
I only used 500g mince, only added greek seasoning(to taste) with some tomato sauce & panko crumbs
I never wrapped in foil~Cooked on high 3 hours

  48. Cheryle Headley

This recipe is so easy and far better than buying kebabs. I have mad this so many times, for hubby & myself and make extras for the family. They all love it. Sometimes a tweek it a little by adding extra flavours but always yummo.
Thank you Pauline, since finding your fb page my slow cooker has had so much use.. and it’s fairly old now. Hope it keeps on giving.

  49. Wow! Didn’t think I was going to like this but it was AMAZING! Fed 5 of us (myself, husband and 3 adult children) easily. Used Greek seasoning and added some cayenne pepper and put the load on a bed of sliced onion (didn’t wrap it). Family weren’t keen when they saw it come out of the slow cooker, but one taste changed their minds. All of them RAVED! Definitely a regular Sunday night dinner in our house!

  50. This was really really disappointing. I made it because of all of the good reviews but found it terrible. No flavour, even though I put extra in than the recipe called for. Tasted a bit like meatloaf maybe? But not a good one. Didn’t end up eating it all. – and I only did 500g of lamb instead of 1kg. Don’t waste your time or money.

  51. Did my review not go up because it was not 4 or 5 stars?!!!!!
I think it’s important for all reviews both positive and negative to be posted so that people can make an informed decision on if they want to make this. I wish I had of seen
Some mixed reviews on this, I would not have wasted my time or money.

    1. I think it’s important Holly to have patience and not jump to ridiculous assumptions that are kind of embarrassing for you now :/ It was less than 3hrs between you leaving your first review and then leaving the second one complaining about the first one… you were informed comments don’t appear until moderated when you left it? Did you perhaps not read that – I’m not sure?
Patience please – I was actually running a 42km marathon at the time you left your initial review lol – then this review complaining about your other review not being posted 😉 – sorry to say I’m only human and can’t be here in every instance lol
As you can see now both are here for all to see 🙂
I’d suggest cooking a recipe as it’s intended first – before changing it ?
The recipe as it states is how it is best – Maybe next time ?
After all that’s why it has so much great feedback – because people think this ladies recipe is great?
If there was negative feedback or mixed reviews as you say it would have been approved too – just like yours was 🙂
Have a lovely day Holly xx

  52. One of my kids fave slow cooker meals!!! I have used beef instead of lamb before but my family really love the lamb. We put all the ingredients on our Lebanese bread then wrap in foil & pop in the sandwich press to get the outside toasty & crispy! Yum

  53. OMG ! This recipe is just delicious! Tastes better than any kebab shop and super simple. Cooked 1kg lamb mince for 3 hours on high and it was perfect

  54. An absolute favourite in our home!!
I myself don’t like lamb so I switched that out for beef mince and it worked a treat. Cooked exactly the same as it says to do for the lamb and it comes out perfect every time.

  55. The whole family enjoyed this! I was surprised honestly and a bit hesitant to try it but was delicious! Thanks for the recipe 🙂

  56. The whole family loved them. I halved the recipe and it still would have fed 6 people. I did accidentally overcook the meat a little, so next time I can adjust my times.

  57. Now this was so easy and delicious! I cooked it on high for 3 hours ! The smell was brilliant!
    Will definitely do again

  58. Michelle Stasiakowski

Put it on in the morning, got home from a full day/evening of sport and it was ready to go. Put it in kebab bread with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and tzaziki then wrapped and toasted…better than the kebab shop

  59. I made this a few weeks ago and my wife and I loved it. I’m making the same today but with beef mince and really looking forward to it

  60. I made this for dinner last night. I don’t normally cook lamb, but I happened to pick up some lamb mince. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this recipe was AMAZING!!!! My slow cooker cooks hot & this was something I was concerned about, but because lamb is an oily meat it turned out tender, juicy & full of flavour. It has definitely been added to my list of regular meals. Bonus was that it only took around 5-10 minutes to prepare the mince.

  61. Was a bit worried about making this as wasn’t sure how flavorsome it will be but it was delish. Will definitely be making again. Yum

  62. I love this recipe….I use beef mince instead (lamb is heaps more expensive) . It’s one of my favourite dinners. One of my kids loves the meat….she eats it by itself ??

  63. Michelle Stokes

Made this several times now. Cooked with beef, lamb and chicken mince. Great flavours and hubby reckons better than shop bought.

  64. So, I made the below recipe for first time for dinner and all I can say is “WHAT A HIT” with the family! They’ve requested it weekly as opposed to buying them. This usually costs us to buy $38-42
    Homemade = $4.60 per serve ($18.40 4ppl)
Slight changes I had to make
    1. Used 500gm each of lamb and sausage beef mince
    2. Used garlic paste and garlic salt as I didn’t have powdered form.
    3. Wrapped in foil and put it into my silicone loaf pan
    **NO WATER REQUIRED **
? Perfect 5hrs later on high.

  65. Made this last night for the family, it was amazing. Even got the comment ‘this is better than a brought one’ ??

  66. Omg I was so sceptical being mince to put into a Souvlaki but OMG was amazing the flavours were amazing and loved by all. A+++++

  67. Better than store bought.

Only had 600g mince but put followed the rest of the recipe with the exception of the onion salt, I used onion powder instead.

Hubby loved it. I think it will become a regular meal. I can see this as a brilliant boys night favourite.

  68. Absolutely delicious, better than shops. We make these at least ones a week. They are so easy, so full of flavour and yum.

  69. I made these last week and they were amazing! Comfortably fed my family for dinner and leftovers for lunch the next day! It made 9 kebabs (with extra meat) a huge hit in my house and will become a regular weekend dinner!! 5 star rating ? ????

  70. Amber MacFarlane

This was so tasty. We couldn’t get Lamb mince but we had it with beef and honestly it was the best will be come a staple on our household ?

  71. Made the lamb kebabs for dinner tonight. I made up the mixture and turned it into a loaf shape the day before to save time. So I just popped it into the slow cooker today. Taste sensation. 1kg of mince made a dozen rolls. I’d halve the quantity next time. But so yummy. Will definitely make this again.

  72. OMG had Lamb Kebabs tonight. The smell in the house wad divine. Had tabuli and homus. The Kebabs were absolutely YUM. Great football night dinner. Will be doing these again.

  73. OMG! This was better than I expected, I can’t believe it tastes like store bought. Thank you for the recipe.

  74. I was a skeptical of this turning out ok. But I must say it was absolutely amazing! Hubby even went back for a third one. I will definitely be making this again. I didn’t put the 2 teaspoons of salt in and found it salty enough without it.

  75. This was okay, but not great, and I’m not sure if I did something wrong.

I mean I followed the directions, but should I have taken the meat out of the foil so the top could brown and get some colour? It looked paleish and murky grey. The flavour was so so. The smell in the house when it was cooking in the slow cooker was great. It was a little dry, so maybe my slow cooker was too hot, although it was 2 hours on high.

It didn’t look like the pictures on Facebook that’s for sure.

The calorie count was awesome, heaps of protein, so I think I’ll play around with this recipe. I’ll maybe try ground cumin for a different flavour.

  76. Second kebab recipe I have slow cooked and is definitely one I will make again – just need to tweak to my family’s tastes. Was a meal we all enjoyed and what Mum doesn’t love that! This time I left out the salt as we don’t heavily salt our food. Next time I’ll reduce the pepper by at least half and add more mixed herbs.
So quick and easy to make – whipped it up in 15 minutes (with “help” from my teenage son) during my lunch break (perk of working from home!). I’d recommend giving it a go – you’ll probably be like so many others and making it again

  77. absolutely delicious, i like some others were a bit sceptical but it was amazing, the flavour was awesome and the smell while cooking was so good.
I did exact ti recipe and was not disappointed at all and the family also said it was really good and would definitely have it again. 5 ?’s from us

  78. This was amazing! Although extremely salty. I’d reduce the salt to 1 teaspoon, make again and see how it goes. Maybe even remove salt altogether. The onion salt has enough sodium anyway. I wrapped it in foil but then covered in baking paper, as I have a non stick slow cooker insert. I cooked for 6 hours on low. Delicious! Not mince like in texture as I had worried it might be. Just like you’d find in a kebab shop. Served with salad and wraps. A new favourite!

  79. I don’t have a sandwich press can you cook Lebanese bread in the oven and melt the cheese there. Also I need to half recipe does that alter cooking time!! Thanks

  80. This is an amazing recipe and as well as being affordable and delicious, it tastes just like the bought variety! It’s a firm favourite and regular at my place. Thanks so much for this!

  81. WOW WOW – we all loved this and it’s going to be a family fav – I did add extra garlic cuz we love it and I did add Moroccan seasoning as we also love it. I cooked on high for 4 hours and was moist and very full of flavour

  82. Clementina Cummings

My family love this! I make exactly as per recipe. I often get requests for it to be made again. I have tried making it with chicken mince but everyone prefers the lamb.

  83. My family thought this was better than the bought kebabs they usually have! My boys also buy from the kebab shop a HSP which is the kebab meat served over hot chips and then your choice of sauces, melted cheese etc. Guess what we did with the left overs?!!! It was awesome!!! Thiamine have asked to have this every week and when I told them how much it cost to make it was the same price as the cost of one kebab!! Amazing!!!!!

  84. Would this be better in a small or large slow cooker? 1.5L touching the sides or 6.5L with air circulating? Thanks.

  85. This was great! Both kids ate it with delight. Miss 13 said tasted just like the real kababs we buy. Was great even as left over for lunch the next day. Will make more often 🙂

  86. These Kebabs were so easy and so very tasty. I didn’t have any mixed herbs so used 1 tsp Tuscan seasoning , 1 tsp Italian Herbs & some dried Parsley. Will definitely do this again. Thanks for sharing your recipe Di.

  87. This was a great dish, however I thought it was missing something. The smell was phenomenal but when tasted, it needed something extra. Partner loved it though so maybe its just me!

  88. Made this today because of all the rave reviews and wasnt a fan.
After mixing this all perfectly and following all the directions this came out of the slow cooker after 3 hours on high looking and tasting exactly like meatloaf.
Not sure how to explain to the family we’re having meatloaf wraps instead of the kebabs with homemade tzatziki i was excited about.

  89. I finally got around to trying this dish and I’m so glad I did!
Smelled amazing while cooking at the end so we were salivating for dinner 🙂
I swapped herbs slightly (skipped salt entirely and changed mixed herbs to lamb herbs and onion salt to onion powder)
The kids LOVED the kebabs for dinner, as did hubby and I 🙂
I used an electric knife to slice so they were kind of thick but next time I’d use the peeler type tool I’ve been suggested
We paired it with the Masterfoods “Garlic Kebab Sauce” which was divine!
Thanks Di for a great dinner dilemma solution!

  90. Brilliant!, loved it! I can’t seem to find onion salt so used onion powder, not sure what the difference it may have made. Used wraps instead of leb bread, easier to wrap tight.
Followed recipe until assembly, spread Sour cream on wrap and added BBQ sauce for the family and some hot chili sauce to mine.
Really didn’t know how the lamb mince would turn out but loved it… cooked on high for 3hrs exactly which when sliced had a very light pink colour towards the centre… yep that’s right I master chef’d it, go me!

    1. That’s not likely to be the cause Rebecca – I see hundreds and hundreds of folks make this recipe – it’s more likely that your bowl had a hairline crack in it and this was simply the last recipe it happened to be cooking when it happened 🙂 They can occur from age, temp changes, washing up etc. Happy shopping for a new one 🙂

  91. A family favourite. We normally put the kebab in a sandwich press after to have your favourite topping to melt the cheese and toast the Lebanese bread.

  92. It was amazing, flavour explosion made garlic sauce using natural yoghurt and crushed garlic, lettuce, cheese, tabhouli, red onion and some fresh tomato. 10 out of 10

  93. Absolutely love this recipe, so quick and easy, tastes amazing and my whole family love it. Tastes just like a kebab shop ?

  94. We love this recipe. I have made this for my family numerous times. We halve the recipe and it turns out great. Now that my kids are getting bigger will have to start doing the full quantity.

  95. I made this for dinner tonight. My family loved it. My daughter was sceptical at first but said it was as good as,if not better than store bought. I have frozen the left overs for another meal.

  96. Tiffany Cotterill

This was awesome, hubby and I had 2nds. Also made Nutella wraps after for dessert.
Nice and easy, will be doing it again.

  97. Making this again tonight,my daughter almost screamed when I told her I was making it again lol. Tonight tho we’re trying it using beef mince, lamb mince can be so expensive at times especially by the kilo. Fingers crossed it tastes just as good,I also omitted the salt and pepper as it was a little to salty to taste for us but we don’t use salt in our house so to be expected, this way we can season it how we like when we eat it.

  98. Making them tonight, unfortunately I normally make My sauce from scratch but our shop was out of most of the ingredients, couldn’t even find it in the bottle, so went for second best and got the taziki dip ? hopefully it tastes the same

  99. Mine turned out a little dry ? but other than that it was so easy to make.
I will try again but not cook as long and see if that makes a difference

  100. Loved this recipe, although being my first time I wanted to make sure I got it right. So I only did half of the ingredients and cooked it on high for 4hrs. It was so yummy

  101. I only had onion powder so just added a little extra salt but it definitely wasn’t enough! I will look for onion salt next time.

Also, the SecretChef is so hot that I cooked it for 2hr 40 mins on high and it was a little dry! I will take it out after 2hr 20 next time as well.

Even without these changes, the kebab was tasty! I used lettuce, tomato, grated cheese, hommus, bbq sauce and the Woolworths garlic shawarma sauce ? Can’t wait for leftovers tomorrow.

  102. Update: we got 4 hearty wraps out of it AND tonight we used what was left to make 2 HSPs (if ya know, ya know!). Seasoned air fried chips at the bottom, freshly grated cheese, reheated the sliced kebab meat in the air fryer for about 3 mins, then topped it with garlic shawarma sauce and bbq sauce. DELICIOUS. 10/10.

  103. Made this last night and wat a hit with the boys – they gave me 10/10 and have asked for it to be a weekly meal .?
Great flavour and so so easy ??

  104. Made this for dinner the other night and hubby loved it. Will make it for dinner again. So easy and yummy

  105. I made this yesterday – it was a massive hit! Tonight we used the leftovers to make HSPs which were awesome as well. It took 5 minutes to mix the ingredients, wrap in foil and throw it into the slow cooker. 6 hours later, slice and serve. Definitely will be making this again!

  106. Lauren Coulson

Was really easy and everyone likes it. It goes along way, we had 4 wraps for dinner and heaps leftover for lunches.
Next time I’m going to try it with my favourite Greek seasoning.

  107. I’ve been looking at this recipe for a while, think I was sceptical Mince would taste like kebab meat. So glad I finally decided to give it a go because YUMMO!

  108. Uber easy to make, i swapped the herbs for moroccan seasoning , set to cook and dinner was all ready to go, got rave reviews and hubby went back for seconds, absolutely delicious

  109. Oh my goodness this was sensational!!!
Absolutely love love loved it! Don’t change anything…. Just enjoy all that yumminess in ur tummy!

  110. We loved this recipe, I add worcheshire sauce, bbq and tomato sauce as well for a bit more flavour in the meat. So easy and great for lunches.

  111. 5 stars
Better than takeaway version of kebabs and inexpensive. Makes a beautiful & flavourful meat and fresh salad tucked inside a Lebanese bread. Delish! 5 stars and beyond.

  112. Marilyn Macdonald

    5 stars
Made this for dinner, with beef mince. What a beautiful recipe. My hubby and I enjoyed it very much it will certainly be on our menu list. Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe.

Amazing is all I can say! I bought some Greek seasoning from foodland and would probably add a bit more next time. I halved the recipe and followed exactly, cooked on high for about 3.5 hrs. It was perfect! Family loved it so much they want it every night!! Will use full quantity next time! Thank you it’s always great to find a new recipe that everyone loves and is good value for money.

Thanks Di for this recipe. I tripled the ingredients for 12 people, mostly men, and it went down a treat. Even my fussy 10 year old loved it

These are soooooo good. Taste just like the Turkish takeaway and so easy to make. Very little mess which is a huge bonus too. We cook from Slow Cooker Central recipes several times a week and I would rate this one as the best!

  116. I made this tonight – wasn’t sure how it would turn out but it was amazing!! hubby even liked it – and the best part, no gristle in your teeth. I did use a little less salt.

Wow, wow, wow!! This is amazing, tastes exactly like the meat from the shop. Will definitely make again and again and again. Made recipe exactly as it says.

  118. Amazing!!! So easy to cook up and a favourite of my teenage boys. We also toasted them in the sandwich press. Yum. It has been requested as one of our weekly menu items. Think I will ensure that the kids have a good supply of kebab meat on hand for them to make up their own kebabs when they need a quick, hearty, heathy snack/meal.

This is perfect, even the fussy kids love it. Cooked exactly to recipe, wrapped in foil. Served as per the serving suggestion also, total perfection. It does end up a little garlicky, so if you’re not a fan maybe reduce that by half.

followed recipe exactly as it says but used Pork Mince because no one else seems to have tried & I was stuck for what to make with Pork Mince….results were, with 2x adult/teen daughters & 2x preteen boys impersonating bottomless pits- there were no leftovers for anyone to make another for the next days school/work lunches.

Really need to mix this one well – I did it for almost 10 minutes to get a real lovely consistency. I also put some smokey paprika into the mix. Tastes better than the Kebab from the shops!

  122. I make this usually every few months. always a winner. I do tend to increase the seasoning by an extra teaspoon of each. one recommendation if you have never tried it in your kabab wrap use satay sauce (fountain or masterfood) absolute game changer. only sauce I ever eat with kababs now

Had this for the first time and it was a huge hit. My kids assumed I had purchased this little gem.

My family made Gozleme’s and Kebab’s. Absolutely love it. Going to add to our camping and Friday Night Footy menus. Leftovers are even better as toasted Gozleme’s

Its so easy to prepare. It uses simple ingredients that when slow cooker make a beautiful kebab meat.
I have made this now with, beef, chicken and the original, lamb ?

Made this for dinner and it didn’t disappoint. Did up the seasoning quantities a smidge. Also made a lovely Tzatziki to accompany it. Great meal to make and have in the freezer, also freeze the Lebanese bread as well and its a great grab and thaw meal for those lazy Summer days ahead.
