Instructions

  • These rissoles in a tasty tomato and onion sauce go beautifully with mashed potato and vegetables or even with hot chips to dip in the sauce!
I use this recipe on days we are really time poor so I include ready made rissoles from the butcher or supermarket meat department.
However you can certainly make it with your own favourite home made rissoles or meatballs also if you have the time 😊
  • Spray slow cooker lightly with non-stick spray and add raw rissoles to slow cooker
  • Combine all other ingredients and pour over rissoles
  • DO NOT stir or disturb rissoles at all until the final hour of cooking and they will not break apart
  • Cook on low for 5hrs with tea towel trick in place.
One hour prior to finish gently move rissoles so that any tomato etc still sitting on top of the rissoles all mixes together with the rest of the sauce and they are coated in the lovely tomato gravy
