Instructions
Place brisket into your slow cooker
Heat your jam for 1min in microwave to make it easier to spread. Brush/spread it over your brisket (I use pastry brush)
Top with just 2 tbsp of your dry gravy powder (reserve the remaining tbsp to thicken at the end with)
Cook on low for 8hrs Notes: My brisket was a fairly flat piece. If yours is rounder, you may like to add an extra 1-2hrs to cooking time. Alternatively, if time is short, you could also cook it for 5-6hrs on high instead. Cook until it easily comes apart.
When ready remove the brisket and thin slice. While you are slicing the meat, move the gravy juices from the slow cooker into a saucepan over high heat. Add the remaining spoon of gravy powder and whisk over heat to thicken and reduce to a thick gravy.
We served ours in thin slices on a bed of potato mash, and sides of steamed green beans and roasted baby carrots. Top with your amazing gravy.
