1 piece of corned beef, rinsed (any size to suit your slow cooker)
MARINADE
2 tblsp Honey
2 tblsp Brown Sugar
2 tblsp Dijon Mustard
2 tblsp Wholegrain (seeded) Mustard
HONEY MUSTARD WHITE SAUCE
80g plain flour
80g butter
500ml milk
500ml reserved ‘stock’ after cooking beef
Instructions
Combine marinade ingredients in a small bowl. Spray slow cooker with cooking oil and place beef into cooker. Pour marinade over beef. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.
Once cooked, pour liquid that has accumulated (the ‘stock’) into a jug and reserve (do not discard).
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat then add flour and stir for 3-5 minutes. Add 500m milkl & 500ml of reserved stock and whisk gently until thick (If you don’t have enough stock from cooking, top up with water).
Serve beef with honey mustard white sauce.
Use remaining honey mustard white sauce as a recipe base for Honey Mustard Chicken, the same as using a jar sauce (eg chicken tonight jar sauce).
