Ingredients
3 cups plain gf flour
2 cups brown or coconut sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
ΒΌ teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons apple juice (Kalangadoo Organic)
2 cups stewed apples
Cinnamon to taste, I generally already have some in my apples
VARIATION
1 or 2 apples, cored and sliced in rings
Approx 1/4 cup brown or coconut sugar
Instructions
Combine all dry ingredients and mix. Add stewed apples and apple juice, mix until no dry patches.
Line cooker bowl with baking paper and pour mixture in.
Cover with tea towel under lid.
VARIATION
Line cooker bowl with baking paper.
Lay apple slices in bottom of bowl until covered, sprinkle with sugar. Pour mixture on top.
Cover with tea towel under lid.
Cooking Time: approx 3 hrs on high (3.5L Crockpot slow cooker)
