Chinese Style Braised Lamb Shanks

Yummy Asian inspired lamb shanks

Ingredients
 

  • 2tbsp crushed garlic
  • 2tbsp crushed ginger
  • 2tbsp Chinese five spice
  • 250ml water
  • 120ml soy sauce
  • 4 lamb shanks
  • Shallots and sesame seeds for serving (plus sliced chilli if you like it)

Instructions
 

  • Arrange shanks in slow cooker.
  • Mix all remaining ingredients together, pour over shanks.
  • Cook on low 6-8 hrs, turning the shanks a few times if you can.

Notes

  • Serve with steamed rice and/or steamed Asian greens. Pour some of the braising liquid over each serve, and top with sliced shallots and sesame seeds (plus sliced chilli if desired)
