Pie Floaters
A slow cooked pea soup base to drop your cooked pies into for yummy pie floaters!

Cook Time 4 hours hrs
Total Time 16 hours hrs
- 1 pkt dried green pea
- 2 x 1 tsp bicarb soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 litre chicken stock
- (Cooked pies and tomato sauce/ketchup to serve)
Soak peas overnight with 1 tsp bicarb soda.
Rinse
Put in slow cooker with 1 tsp bicarb soda, salt and chicken stock.
Cook on high 2 hours then switched to low 4 hours.
Stirred occasionally as skins separated.
Serve into bowls
Heat pies in oven and dropped one pie into each bowl of the pea soup and top with tomato sauce.
