1 large green apple, cored & sliced (skin left on)
1.5 cups water
80g concentrated tomato paste
1 tsp mustard powder
2 T Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp curry powder
1 T brown sugar
Instructions
Add sliced onions to slow cooker and arrange sausages on top of onion, add apple slices on top of sausages
Combine all other ingredients and pour over
Cook on low for 5-6hrs
Serve with creamy mashed potato and steamed veg
Notes
If your slow cooker runs hotter the liquid may reduce so you can always double it or add an extra ½ cup of water during cooking
If the sauce isn’t as thick as you would like at the end it can easily be thickened by adding a slurry of 1T cornflour and 1T water and mix through and allow to thicken 15-20mins at end of cooking time
