Ingredients
1kg white fish fillets (I used bassa)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 Tblsp soy sauce
1 tsp minced ginger
1 tsp brown sugar
1 Tblsp sweet chilli sauce
½ cup sliced green shallots
Instructions
Line slow cooker with baking paper
Sit fish fillets on baking paper
Combine all other ingredients except shallots in a jug and sprinkle the liquid over the fish fillets
Scatter with shallots
Cook on HIGH for approx. 1hr 30mins to 2hrs (see note)
Occasionally baste cooking liquids over fish in the last hour to disperse flavour nicely
Notes--
Depending on thickness of your fish, it’s cooked when you can easily flake off pieces with a fork
Lift out the fish with an egg flip or similar lifter so it doesn’t break the soft fillets as you lift
Lovely served with a fresh salad or hot chips
Our kids LOVED this fish and begged for it two nights in a row!
