Smoky Maple and BBQ Hassleback Chicken

Ingredients
4 large skinless chicken breasts
4 rashers of maple flavoured streaky bacon
4 slices of extra sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup of smoky bbq sauce
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 Tblsp maple syrup
Optional: Cornflour to thicken
Instructions
Carefully place 4 slices along each breast fillet, cutting almost to the bottom of fillet but not quite
Cut each rasher of bacon into 4 slices and each slice of cheese into 4 triangles
In each of the 4 cuts in the chicken place one piece of bacon and one triangle of cheese
Combine sauce, paprika and maple syrup and pour into bottom of slow cooker
Gently place filled chicken fillets into cooker to sit in sauce
Cook on LOW for 4 hours
Serve with as much of the cooking sauce (or none) as you prefer
We often thicken our sauces with a little cornflour slurry for thick syrupy consistency :)
