Ingredients
1kg diced beef
1 cup sliced spring onions
150ml sweet soy sauce
1tbs honey
1tbs sugar (I used coconut sugar)
3tsp minced garlic
3tsp minced ginger
2 cups beef stock
1 cup water
1tsp sambal olek chilli paste
1tsp nutmeg
1tsp Chinese five spice
2tbs vinegar
—Cornflour Slurry
2tbs cornflour in 6tbs water,
1tsp sambal olek,
1tbs sweet soy
Instructions
Coat beef in cornflour then slightly brown in a fry pan.
Add all ingredients into your slow cooker (apart from the cornflour slurry mixture) and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
About 30 mins from serving add the cornflour slurry mixture to thicken the sauce.
Serve with rice and steamed greens
