Vegetarian Cabbage Rolls
Cabbage leave rolls with vegetarian filling in a sweet and sour sauce 🙂
Ingredients
- 1 small cabbage boiled (core removed before cooking - see below)
- 1 1/2 cups rice cooked
- 1 can lentils - rinsed
- Diced 1 cup mushrooms
- Diced fried 1/2 onion
- 1 x 400g can tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons garlic
- Chilli to taste
- 1 x jar of sweet and sour sauce
Instructions
- Take the whole cabbage, cut the core out, and boil the whole cabbage till soft
- Let cool and remove each leaf one at a time
- Line slow cooker bowl with baking paper
- Mix all other ingredients except sweet and sour sauce to make the filling of the rolls
- Add 1 to 2 tablespoon of mixture to each leave, roll up and add to slow cooker bowl
- Pour sauce over cabbage rolls and cook on low for 8 hours

easier if you use wombok just a quick blanche refresh in ice water and roll. All so very yum with pork or chicken mince, leave out the rice and its gluten/carb free dumplings
