Can anybody tell what “cake mix” is. Do I buy it or make it myself with flour and other ingredients?
Cake mix is any bought box/packet mix from which you make a cake.
The sort where you buy the cake mix then you add things normally like an egg and milk to it and that’s your cake.
Does that make sense?
Yes, it makes sense but it seems to defeat the object of “do it yourself” cooking. My local supermarket sells packets of slow cooker ingredients where you add your meat and vegetables, stir the packet into a jug of water then add that to the pot. I’d rather use the basic ingredients instead of using a packet that includes flavourings, colourings, more salt than I need and probably MSG (621) too. Thanks for your reply but I’ll be going with the recipes that don’t require me to purchase already prepared ingredients like cake mix.
Well we do have approx 2050 other ones for you to choose from…
Some of our members use pkt cake mixes, as people all over the world do .. as is TOTALLY their right to do so 🙂
If you make your own all the time than I assume you already know how to do so and will leave you to do just that.
If this recipe isn’t to your very specific tastes please feel free to scroll on and find one that is rather than insult the member who kindly submitted this and other recipes for members like you to come along and find!
You go do that now and have a lovely day 🙂
I haven’t tried this yet but it sounds amazing and I have been told it is just that. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you kindly for including this recipe on your site and to the person who submitted it. I love the idea of this dessert, and the instructions and approximate times are very helpful indeed. We follow a bit of a strict diet within guidelines that suit our needs, so I am used to reading recipes from others and taking wonderful ideas from them that we can adjust for our needs/tastes. I love the use of lemon in the cake – that is a bit unique. Many thanks again for including and posting it.
