Total Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Servings 4 mugs

Ingredients

To make 4 mugs

  • 2/3 cup self raising flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 4 heaped Tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread (like Nutella)
  • 4 Tablespoons white chocolate cooking bits/buttons

Instructions

  • Use a nice large coffee mug so it doesn’t overflow – you don’t want to loose a drop! ?
  • Turn slow cooker on HIGH and add 1 cup of hot tap water. Replace lid and allow this to heat while you are mixing the cake mix and preparing the mugs
  • Combine all cake ingredients (except the chocolate hazelnut spread and the white choc buttons) in a bowl and mix well to cake batter consistency
  • Take 4 large mugs and add a heaped spoon of the choc spread into the base of each mug
  • Pour the cake batter evenly between the mugs (poured gently on top of the choc spread)
  • Scatter the white choc buttons on top of the batter
  • Gently place mugs in slow cooker, sitting them in the shallow water you added earlier.
  • Cook on HIGH with tea towel trick in place under the lid
  • Cook for approx. 60-70mins or until cake springs back lightly when touched on top
  • Serve with a spoon to dig down to the gooey chocolate bottom. Enjoy!
  • (Cooked in 6L slow cooker)

Had no nutela, put heaped teaspoon of chocolate button melts on bottom of cup, then poured the batter slowly.
Made these last night for dessert.
Hubby said they the bomb. Going to be a regular dessert.
