  1. Made this tonight and was pleasantly surprised. Very moist and tender. Made a gravy with the juices too. Thank you for posting!

  2. How does the meat turn out with this length of cooking? As in medium, well-done etc? And would it dry out if I gave it more like 8 hours?

  3. Did it as a 2kg piece so I had plenty for left overs for sandwiches. The BEST, most moist, roast beef I’ve ever made. Thickened the gravy on the stove and it was so rich. OMG yummy. Thank you for the recipe Simon.

  4. Cooked this today first time very simple recipe.
Thought I had purchased blade roast but it was 3x individual pieces. I turned the meats 2hrs into cooking & basted every 1hr after – cooked 5hr low, 1hr high. Meat turned out lovely & tender served with roast vegetables, steamed corn cobs & green beans! ??

  5. This recipe is delicious, tender and so full of flavour.
My husband is not a big fan of roast beef but this recipe has changed his mind

  6. Absolutely fantastic and delicious dish. Even my very fussy kids ate it all. Will definitely be making this again and again

I used a piece of beef already marinated in garlic & red wine I followed this recipe same but reduced the garlic component. I sliced it & we had roast beef & gravy rolls. Beef was so tender!
This is a great go-to recipe.

Made this last night for the first time. My slow cooker doesn’t sear so seared in a fry pan. Added onions to the bottom of the slow cooker & sat the meat on top. Added a bit of garlic & the mustard into the sauce as well & it came out perfect. Nice & tender. Husband approved so thats a win
