Prep Time 5 mins
Cook Time 1 hr 30 mins
Total Time 1 hr 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 500g of broccoli (I use frozen)
  • 3 tsp Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons of sweet chilli sauce (I use low sugar variety)
  • Salt & Pepper

Instructions

  • Line slow cooker with baking paper to prevent any sticking
  • Add broccoli
  • Top with butter and drizzle sauce over
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Cook on low for 1.5hrs

Notes

  • I use sugar free sweet chilli sauce to keep it low carb but any type you prefer is fine
  • You can always adjust cooking time if you like it crisper or softer but I found this time perfect in my 5L Breville Slow Cooker

  1. Hubby cooked this using broccoli and cauliflower. He doubled the other ingredients. Was delicious.
Looking forward to him experimenting with other veggies.

  2. This was a lovely change to normal broccoli. I did one and a half heads of fresh broccoli. Really tasty. Thanks for the recipe!

  3. What a great surprise. Easy and very nice taste, with garlic and extra s/chilli sauce added. We had this with bbq’d porterhouse steak and the sauce from the vegie was perfect with it!!

  4. Sounds delicious, we are a family of 6, 4 teenage boys!! If i double the recipe, would i need to increase the cooking time? I have this recipe ready to go in my 5L slow cooker, 2 ingredient cake in my 1.5l and roast beef and gravy already in in my 7L for tonight’s dinner. thank you for the constant inspiration.

    Thanks
    Taryn

  5. My family won’t eat broccoli any other way after making this 😀 it’s amazing . Also works great in dump bags.
