Pineapple in syrup or juice and do you drain first
So much better than buying your own. My partner said sex on a plate. Followed recipe but added an onion.
It’s it white vinegar ( like you would put on your chips ) ?
That’s what I’d use yes 🙂
OMG YUMMO. I used diced pork and added a diced onion. Next time I might add some baby corn as well. This recipe has now gone into my fovorites book.
Did this the other night very yummy! I mixed my cornflour into the pineapple juice then put in it.
Do you drain the pineapple pieces or leave the juice in?
As it doesn’t mention the juice, I would drain them
Do you think you would be able to freeze this and reheat or would it affect the sauce?
I haven’t tried myself to be certain Kim, but I can’t see why not? 🙂
we made it today, but we did not have ginger but used ginger refresher cordial 3 Tbsp. and thought with adding the brown sugar it may have been too sweet but other than that issue it was nice to eat
Delicious!!
We tried this tonight (boneless shoulder, unrolled 1.5kg), didn’t turn out the same colour as the pictures (it was brown)but it was still very nice!
I had to cut the meat up after about 6hours and let it go for another 30mins on high.
I decided not to thicken the sauce and let it stay runny to soak the rice.
The kids and hubby REALLY enjoyed it and I loved how I had all the ingredients in the cupboard.
We are definitely eating this again!
Divine! Will be making again, soon. Thank you, Sally!
Thankyou Sally, made this last night and it’s just perfect. Used pineapple and juice (wasn’t sure) didn’t change anything else. Hubby loves S & S and this is the best I have ever cooked 🤤 Thankyou ❤️
Very nice flavour, not sickly sweet like some sweet n sours.
I used pork steaks and added cornflour to pineapple juice (as per others feedback) at end for thickening.
Hubby said , “That’s special,” as he licked his plate clean.
