Swedish style meatballs

Simple and easy to make. This was really tasty. There was loads of lush sauce so you could easily add more meatballs. Great served with hasselback potatoes.

  1. All I can say is wow!!! This recipe is simply delicious ?? Thank you for sharing it with us Joanne Pinnock, it is a real winner in our house ? I doubled the sauce ingredients as I was cooking 1kg of pork meatballs and used onion and garlic powders instead of salts. I also stirred through 300mls of sour cream before serving on fettuccine with crusty bread rolls ?????

  2. Game changer, love this and so does the hubby. I omitted the garlic salt and all spice for one small garlic clove grated, wasnt sure what a beef stock pot was so just used a beef stock cube. Will definitely be a continuous recipe used in our household.

  3. Cooked these meatballs tonight only had a packet of 20 beef meatballs, cooked on low 4 1/2 hours, had no HP sauce so used Rosella 333 Bbq rib sauce. Instead. The meal was delicious, we had boiled potato, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots, also added about 15 button mushrooms ro the dish.

  4. Is the sour cream needed ? I want to make this but I don’t have any sour cream
Or is there a substitute I could use ( not cream )

  5. Ooooh…this is delicious! My family were very impressed with this offering. A great food jar option as well, my daughter has taken some today.

  6. 5 stars
Sauce in this dish was heavenly!
Unable to source the beef stock pot so substituted with vegetable flavour. Tempted to lick the bowl clean instead used nice slice of buttered crusty bread.
I used store bought meatballs x40 in total.
