Summer sausage braise
Serving: 6
Ingredients
- 12 -14 chicken or pork sausages
- 10 small onions
- 250g chopped bacon
- 3 celery sticks chopped
- 3 garlic cloves
- 500g cherry tomatoes
- 150ml dry white wine
- 150ml veg stock.
Instructions
- Brown sausages and add to slow cooker,then brown onion and bacon and add to cooker.
- Mix in celery,garlic,tomatoes,wine and stock.
- Cook on low for 6 hours.
- Season salt and pepper,serve with crusty bread and salad.

The flavour of the sausages were out of this world yummy! I used chicken sausages and didn’t brown them before adding to the slow cooker. ???
This was really nice. Light sauce not heavy like “winter” casseroles. Will make again
Very tasty recipe. I used 300ml of chicken stock and about 1 tablespoon of Chinese cooking wine, picked up the wrong stock and didn’t want to add the dry wine. Added carrots. Used beef sausages that I boiled to remove skin and fat. Sauce was yummy so thickened with a roux so it coated better. Son had 2nds
