Stuffed Peppers

Ingredients
 

  • 3 Peppers
  • Onion 1
  • mince meat
  • Mushrooms 3
  • 1 n 1/2 cups.rice
  • 1 can chopped tomatoes
  • Cheese ( to taste)
  • Worcestershire sauce a dash
  • Add herbs to your taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut tops off the peppers take out the seeds etc
  • Mix together mince with chopped onion,mushroom,grated cheese , tomatoes and rice.
  • add herbs to taste if using
  • Fill peppers with mixture
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce on top each filled pepper
  • Place tops of peppers back on and place in lined slow cooker (helps with cleaning)
  • Add a little Stock at bottom or water
  • Set slow cooker at high 3-4 hours or low for 6-8hours covered
  • Add a little cheese on top and melt then serve with lovely fresh salad
  • Enjoy 🙂

  1. what kind of rice , is it long grain rice. do you partially cook it before using it to stuff the peppers. looking forward to making this. also what herbs or spices do you use. thank you. I want to make them tomorrow

  2. made the peppers today I used chicken mince as we don’ t eat meat. I felt they lacked some taste and thought the next time I will add some tomato paste as well as the tomatoes. What spices do you add to give a better taste. Don’t get me wrong we still enjoyed them.
