Sticky Christmas Ham
Ingredients
- 2 cups of pineapple juice
- 2 cups of brown sugar
- 4 tsp of balsamic vinegar
- 4 tsp of Dijon mustard
- 4 tsp of honey
- Large ham. Leg in or boneless is fine
Instructions
- Place pineapple juice in slow cooker
- mix in a bowl remaining ingredients
- Cover ham with brown sugar mix and put in slow cooker
- cook on low for approx. 5hrs
- PLEASE NOTE Ham is already cooked, so its just in there to get the flavour into it, if you need it sooner its fine to take it out
- Strain left over liquid into a saucepan, add cornflour to thicken.
- Drizzle over ham before serving
- The sauce is very sweet, so I wouldn't recommend using it too liberally 🙂

OMG absolutely delicious recipe Trudy Lowndes ??? the ham was sooooooo amazing done this way!! Only changes I made were that I added 1lt of pineapple juice instead of 500mls and I used apple cider vinegar instead of balsamic vinegar ? Very impressed with the end result and was totally blooming fabulous served with cold pasta, potato and coleslaw salads on hotdog rolls ?? Thanks so much for this recipe Trudy, it is a keeper ?
Can I put the ham in with all ingredients uncooked!?!?!
