Steak and Kidney
Serving: 4
Ingredients
- 600 grms Steak
- 1 large ox kidney
- 1 medium Brown onion
- 1/2 packet French onion soup ( this and water could be substituted for beef stock)
- 1 cup water
- plain flour
Instructions
- Cut steak and kidney into pieces and roll in flour ( this will make your gravy)
- Brown the steak and kidney ( you can leave this out but I find it intensifies the flavour)
- Place all remaining ingredients into slow cooker
- 6 hours low and then 2 hours on high

Tried this today & first time cooking kidneys. It was absolutely delicious. I did add mushrooms and carrots (grated). Served on mash but will try polenta (corn mill).
