Spiced plum and cinnamon chicken

  • 500grams chicken
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 200ml plum sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Chilli
  • Cumin
  • Cinnamon


  • Cook chicken,1 cup of water, 150ml of plum sauce and cinnamon for 2-4 hours on high depending on slow cooker.
  • Add spices (cinnamon, cayenne, chilli and cumin) to taste.
  • Continue to cook for 6-8 hours on low.
  • Serve with rice and drizzle with plum sauce to taste.

  1. I finally cooked this recipe last night. I halved the recipe & put everything in the slow cooker at the start. It was incredibly delicious & is now on my ever increasing meal plan! Thank you Lorien.
