Slow cooked saucy shanks

Flavoursome slow cooked saucy shanks that will have you licking the plate clean ❤️

Ingredients
 

  • 3-6 lamb shanks
  • 1 packet of French onion soup
  • 1 tin of diced tomatoes
  • 1 tin of big red condensed tomato soup
  • 1 cup of beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon of worchestershire sauce
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian herbs
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chilli

Instructions
 

  • Place shanks in slowcooker
  • Top with carrot, onions and chilli
  • Mix rest of ingredients together in a bowl and pour over shanks.
  • Cook on low for 6 hours
  • Serve on a bed of creamy mash with a side of vegetables
  • Bon appetite ☺

  1. This was the first time I have cooked shanks, let alone sc’d them! They turned out brilliant using this recipe. The sauce is amazing!!! I poured some of it over the meal and kept 2 or 3 tubs for freezing and later use. Thanks Shaeden Galpin for such flavour!!

  2. Our family is loving this delicious recipe! I leave out the chilli for the kids. Agree the leftover sauce is great to be used later on.

  3. This is a cracker of a recipe
    . Best shank recipe I’ve done. Left over sauce is ample and I freeze it to use later as a quick pasta dish. Simple fry up lamb mince and add the left over sauce and serve over pasta, the slow cook flavour is already there. Yummo 10/10 for this one no changes needed
