Savoury Lamb

  • 2tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Lamb forequarter chops


  • Combine all ingredients in slow cooker
  • Cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours.
  • Remove chops to serve.
  • Combine flour, some water and add it to the sauce to thicken at the end.

  1. Yummy dish, I doubled the recipe and ended up taking out the bones towards the end as the meat was just falling off. I think the leftovers will make a delicious pie filling too!

  2. Just wondering is the 1/2 cup of water for the slurry at the end or to go into the recipe with everything else .

    Cooked this today, turned out lovely, chop meat just fell apart, sauce was delicious ?
    Hubby loved it so much he wants chops cooked like this all the time ?

  4. Hi, was going to give this a try! Just wasn’t sure what kind of tomato sauce?? Like pasta sauce, bottle Heinz tomato sauce??
