The flavours in this recipe were absolutely spot on. So good. It just didn’t make enough for hubby and my dinner so I’d definitely double the recipe next time unless just wanting a two person entree.

Absolutely loved this dish and it’s the perfect light lunch. Popped it on at 10am and it was ready within 2 hours. I did add some finely chopped mushrooms and water chestnuts to bulk it out and for extra crunch. Hubby loved it. I might add some vermicelli next time and see how it goes.

Love this recipe! Super easy for a week night meal. I follow the recipe as it is and it’s perfect every time. I also add crunch by using cos lettuce leaves.

This is amazing. Love the flavour. Followed recipe but couldn’t get bean shoots so substituted shredded cabbage.

Cooked this for lunch today, very yummy. I followed the recipe but added a splash of soy sauce at the end. The only thing I would change is to separate the mince better at the beginning, it was in big chunks.

Google says: Most people use soy sauce as an oyster sauce substitute, as the former provides some color and flavor to the dish. You may also add half a teaspoon of sugar to the soy sauce. Some people add a few drops of Worcestershire sauce to soy sauce, which is meant to replace oyster sauce

This is fast becoming my favorite recipe as it is so quick, easy and tasty. Back to pork mince today (my favorite) with extra chilli and oyster sauce for strong flavors. Simply outstanding!!

This is fast becoming a go to recipe for an easy, healthy and versatile snack. Today I tried it with beef mince, extra chilli and a dash of soy sauce. I loved the result and so did my partner.

I really enjoyed this and found it so simple, and so full of flavour. I stuck to the recipe reasonably faithfully, will definitely do it several times again and definitely tinker and play to my tastes and preferences

Only searing slow cookers brown, not the traditional style ceramic bowl ones 🙂
It can be cooked dry to start with as the meat when added raw releases it’s own juices
Adding liquids at the start as well as the meat juices would explain your watery results 🙂

Sounds delicious but I am curious to know how you cook this for 90 mins with no liquid in the pot and not find a pile of charcoal stuck to the bottom? My slow cooker (Morphy Richards brand) states quite emphatically that liquid must be added. I’ve never got the hang of my slow cooker and always end up with powdery dry meat and far too much runny liquid. It only has a ceramic crock with H, M, L temp settings and doesn’t seem to be able to be used to sear/brown in like others seem to be able to do. Is that the difference?
