Saag Aloo
Ingredients
- 2 potatoes
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1vegetable stock cube, crumbled
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ½ tsp cumin
- ½ tsp ground coriander
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp hot chilli powder
- Black pepper
- Frozen spinach, I let it defrost & placed on kitchen paper to remove some of the water
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into chunks measuring about an inch. Add them to the slow cooker ( I used a 1.5 litre one) along with the sliced onion, crumbled stock cube, spices, and plenty of black pepper. Top up with spinach - however much you can easily fit in your slow cooker.
- Cook on high for around 1.5 hours, until the potato is soft - stir every half hour or so to stop sticking to the bottom. The exact cooking time will depend on exactly how big you cut your potato chunks.
