Rum glazed ribs
You will need baby wipes or a face washer to eat these! Very messy but beautiful!
Ingredients
- Pork Ribs
Dry Rub
- 1 teaspoon each of:
- garlic powder
- paprika
- ground coriander seeds
- five spice
- ground cumin.
- Salt and pepper to taste and
- enough olive oil to make a paste
- (Rub onto the ribs and then leave for 24 hours. I vac packed mine and then froze them with the rub on)
Glaze
- 1/2 cup rum or bourbon
- 3tbs hoisin sauce
- 1tbs molasses
- 3 tbs cider vinegar
- 4 teaspoons soy sauce
- 3 teasp worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Mix all dry rub ingredients together and rub onto racks, marinade for 24 hours if possible.
- Slow cook pork rib racks in slow cooker for 4 hours on high, remove from cooker and lay on a oven tray.
- Put all glaze ingredients into saucepan and bring to boil.
- Simmer until 1/3 gone and thickened.
- Brush with glaze on both sides and put in oven pre heated to 180degC.
- Brush with glaze every 5 mins or so until you are happy with how much glaze is on there.
